I would very much appreciate it if I could be granted access to the inventors' forum.  Although I probably will not understand a lot of what is discussed, I may be able to offer some suggestions; and I would also greatly value the opportunity to learn from the other minds present there.

Before granting petrus request, I would remind all to examine his past actions on this forum.

Click on his nick to go to his profile, and you can choose a tab to view every post and thread he has made here on Peggy.


You will note that when he feels cranky or out of sorts, he takes it out on members and staff here, then hides behind various claims of being bi- polar or having a bad day with relatives as the reason why.

At one point he demanded undo be censured for some silly reason he didn't like, to which I laughed and said whattaya mean, we put up with YOU don't we?

On more than one occasion he has been extremely rude right to Zorgon's face, to which Zorgon as usual played the gracious host and let him slide.


He also came waltzing into one of my threads being quite rude making bold claims of how easily he could hoax said footage, then proved himself to be nothing but a blowhard by never doing so or responding to replies or requests to do so -

Finally nearly 2 months later with no reply I created a thread with his name in the title to get his attention (not nice to slag and run ya know)

I could have taken it much further in that thread, but following Zorgon's example, I decided to play gracious host and just let it rest.


On the flip side, I do note his behavior has improved in the last several months, perhaps his claims of diet change is responsible as stated.

In any case, anyone reading his list of posts since he joined here, will quickly note what a complete -bleep- he was when he started, and how much crap staff had to put up with.


At the very least, I feel an apology to our host Zorgon is in order, before allowing him access to any private forums here.


ALL mods here HATE having to waste time on drama, and petrus has certainly provided his share.

I hate even having to waste time on writing this post, but as mods we do take civility seriously here.

Just would like to say that I too am interested in assisting in any way possible. I do not consider myself an inventor, in fact I feel like my time will come. It is obvious to me where I fit in once this tech is finished but would certainly like to be as close as possible to the project while it moves forward. I am a regular guy who sees his opportunity to help make a difference, thanks for the consideration.

I dont know about P. Some things have been spot on> I think some have been of the wall and ticked me off. Z gave me 50 gold for 1 response I have also given P gold I think. It does seem that he has been better as of late.

If it were me I would give him a trial base. If aproblem yank his privlage. If I remember correct he is a programer and that is something that is needed.

Just my opinion. PWM will make the call.

Well you guys put up with me, i remember having a tiff with Undo when i first came here, but i decided very quickly not to be so provocative with my statements & accept her as a person.  Right now i have the greatest respect for her even though i don't share her religios views, that doesn't stop me from liking her as a person.

After all, and i would like to make this abundantly clear, i don't care if you are Hitler's grandson, if you are a techie & believe the peeps should have this tech that has been forcefully witheld from us for nigh on 100 years, then we need you!

My forum doesn't 'do' personal issues, it doesn't do politics, religion, or nutcase vampires or venus worshippers.

We are the 'nuts & bolts' side of PRC, and that's what matters.

If I have a problem with Petrus or any other member, i will let them know pronto, and sometimes even in public (but i prefer to sort out issues via PM & not on the front page) as most of you guys should know by now.

Connectors could all be 'F' type sat dish cable stuff, at least then we could fit them on the card, LOL

First off i will have a look at the fixed freq oscillators & how you would control these with a P.C. like on /off etc.
Then the sweeps, then the HF and audio inputs.
I'm guessing it's AM modulation, which is easy enough (if somewhat power consuming, not a problem if the supply is big enough)

This, I think, is probably the real source of your grievance with me, A51; not so much the other things you have mentioned.  I am fairly certain that I did apologise for this at one point, even if said apology was not immediate.  If you are going to continue to hold it against me after that, there really is not a whole lot that I can do about it.  If you don't like me, don't interact with me.  It should hopefully not be too difficult.  I have extensive experience with being disliked, so I won't hold it against you.  You will be in very good company.

As for my conflict with Zorgon; as far as I am concerned, there have been inappropriate statements made on both sides, rather than exclusively mine.  I did, however, ultimately reach the conclusion that on some issues at least, Zorgon and I simply have different perspectives, and that is fine.  There were times when I felt that Zorgon severely mischaracterised me, (particularly when it came to assuming that I advocated or condoned the militarisation of certain forms of technology, or the invention of robotic bees) but given that he was and is the administrator of this forum, I ultimately felt that the wisest decision that I could make, would be to let such go.  So he isn't the only one who has let things slide.

It is also true, that I need to exercise more self-control when it comes to avoiding some of thor's apocalyptic threads, rather than going into them and expressing opposition, which doesn't really accomplish much other than cause thor to be defensive, and create drama.

As I've said before, yes, I can be a difficult personality.  I don't lie about that, and I don't attempt to hide or justify it, either.  The Orcish avatar is there, as I have also said before; what you see is what you get.

thats how i remembered zorgon was because i butted heads with him on subjects.big hugs z.thats how i refound this place when my phone crashed was by finding sarge.i butted heads with him too.these are the folks we remember when under stress.

Agreed.  I actually don't have a problem with Zorgon at all, at this point; and I hope that if my past sins have been observed, then my ceasing to argue with him about TAP has also been acknowledged, as well.

You openly acknowledge your problems elsewhere and arrive here with a chip on your shoulder not being able to see Peggy is not like those other places, where such behavior is not only not needed, it is not appreciated.

Since the primary source of my grievance is of interest to you, I will explain.

If my imagined ego were of paramount importance to me, then I would naturally suspect the same of others, hence your incorrect assumption of my primary source of irritation.

In fact the primary source is Zorgon is my friend.

And with that comes loyalty.


PRC is not a video game to be conquered, and to treat it as such disrespects all the very real good people who frequent and contribute here.


As for you being a 'difficult personality', stop and think for a moment what goes through your mind when you hear a politician using a euphemism to describe something. 
 
You indeed have a penchant for being 'difficult' and arrived having a chip on your shoulder from your other attempts at social interaction elsewhere.


Did Peggy deserve this behavior for some reason?

Obvious answer is no and that kind of crap should be left at the door, regardless of how bad a day you might have had.


I challenge you to find a more compassionate or sharper forum bunch of folks anywhere and we just don't deserve it.


I think your admitted litany of continual 'confrontations' here proves my concern about admittance to private areas warranted.


In closing I hope you continue on your path of gradually losing your paranoia and realizing you are not among enemies here on PRC, and lose that chip on your shoulder.
