Fair point.... I will try to consider that in the future.

But sometimes, I either add in small parts that I either ammend or add in here and there..

If I add in new content... I may try to highlight that in the future..

Sometimes one is rushing and has only a set time to ammend a post..

Whether one wants to reread something may depend if it may be relevant to them at the time..maybe..

Not sure if other members do it.. will have to try to note.

That's why I avoid doing that, and when I do I marked what I changed so people understand what was changed and don't have to read everything again, looking for differences.

As I added in some new content , I may have mixed up somethings from a prior point that I was writing / ammending.

Initally I was referring that the Water Utilities may have already been paid for..but I also suggested that it MAY be possible that it could also be similar to the NHS or other services...  IF things have been similar in the past to had raised the money to had paid for say as an eg..most of the Hospital buildings as an eg..obviously the inner workings in the Hospitals now has the latest technology that in many cases is a huge expense

but the benefits do or did  pay for peoples rent or morgage..

maybe the morgage only for so long now...but at ne time it was for many years.... there are some people who have not worked for years had children and had much of their morgae paid... IT maybe that at some time that they have to pay it back..

and in many a case if you live long enough... and have to go in a care home ...based upon the remaining Husband or Wife who may require Nursing care... the family if still alive or the Children.. may have to sell the persons property to pay for their care fees..

I dont think that includes their car...but often they do have spare money to pay at least for a 2nd hand car..if not one on credit / monthly finance..

Really? We are not talking about a house or a car.

NO... If they have made such a lot of moeny no doubt they can afford new equipment...

but at the moment we are also still paying towards it..

But I found someone who had given an example of our water rates and they claims that they had found out PAST generations have actually paid for the Water treatment we have today....but we still get charged for it..

Obviosly theres maintenence costs each year, wages to pay etc each year..

Sure there's maintenance and wages and other fixed expenses, but do you think they still use the same equipment and methods used 40 years ago?

Yes they can, but as I say, I dont know if what they say is right or not...

BUT I did at one time consider trying to work out what money certain Water Companies may b making each year...

On average.. I pay 300 pounds a year...

The Company has so many Million Companies paying the 300 or more pounds per year.

It maybe the most expence is wages..

How many staff do they have can be found and maybe one can take an average wage..

say its 500 pounds per year.. X   10,000 employees as an eg.

They may have say 10 million Customoers..

You can somewhere find out what the companies expenss are ..

so I think it can be estimated..

and maybe they do give their real earnings  somewhere.

I think Wikipedia has some of the info on that companies finances etc... or they Maybe offer some info to their shareholders etc..

What I am not sure about is taking shareholders into account..
when its now privatised.. maybe the person I refeered to has not taken that into account and things may depend how shares perform.

So I think its possible to get some idea..if it could be correct or not..if one is able to do the calculations..

But they claim.. in reality that the Water Utilities companies has the money to offer its all for free and we really should not need to be paying what we do..

Anyone can claim any thing.
