Another artist gone too soon, very soon in this case, as Dolores O'Riordan was only 46 years old.

RIP, Dolores. :(

That must have been horrible for your grandfather.  I couldn`t imagine being in that position.  Very difficult to get over something like that.

As far as Oprah goes, look at the dirt that has surfaced already and she hasn`t even said she would run! :o

Just a note on Trump.  Businesses, Corporations, Good ole Boys (and Girls) love him and Government, Democrats and the Media are against him.  Even here in Canada, the nightly news is full of the soap opera from D.C.

Although this is off topic Petrus I must say that my grandfather was on the battle line's in Asia during WW2.

Sometimes when he recalled some story's he would break down in tears, other time's he laugh and recall good time's.

I will never forget the story he told me about the end of ww2 and the truce between the Japanese and the Aussie's where he was located.  He told me how the war had ended and both side's had sat on either side of a river in a truce where they both knew it was over... A new 'general' sorta bloke (Australian Side who had no experience on the field) was brought in and ordered them to fire and kill people whilst the Japanese Troops were taking their truce to share water from the river.  My grandpa said the squad did it, against their will as the repercussions may have been deadly.

Well well...as I have been saying all along here on Peggy- the storm drain!

All those people were asking, was recompense for the damage done by their patriotic duty.

Yep; and the media over here predictably bang the drum every Anzac Day, while I hear that hardly a single football match occurs in America now without the obligatory hail to the troops.  Meanwhile, in reality the government treats said actual troops like poop; uses them for what it wants, and then throws them away when it is finished with them.

The hypocrisy is disgraceful.  The only reason why governments encourage reverence of the military among the civilian public, is because it makes said public easier to control, but it's all just hollow pageantry and ceremony.  Meanwhile veterans go without benefits and medical treatment, and flood out into the streets after they get home, where they live in tent cities or under bridges, and corporations install steel spikes outside their front entrances, so that said veterans and various other homeless people can't sleep there.

There is so much injustice.

Everything could come out about Kennedy, and the Millennials most likely wouldn't look up from their mobile phones, let alone start a revolution over it.

I really believe that...They probably don't know who JFK is anyway...

You are close to the mark,ArMap  8) After that remark she made that we are all racists and old white people need to die, she isn't very high  my list..

The day I interviewed for my job, I had to cut the interview short so i could attend my cousin's funeral.  My conservative, born again Christian, Navy veteran cousin died because the insurance he was purchasing through his employer considered  his diabetes as a pre existing condition. It didn't  matter that his previous insurance had covered it, the new company wouldn't. He didn't have a choice about leaving his previous job. He wasn't  old enough to take early retirement  when Rocky Flats shut down.
Then of course, there's the Department of Labor.  That organization has repeatedly denied that many Rocky Flats workers contracted work related illnesses.  All those people were asking, was recompense for the damage done by their patriotic duty.  The cancers they contracted didn't care about liberal or conservative.  It was equal opportunity.

Individualist Leftists used to be called Anarchists, but you virtually never hear about them any more, because the Marxists have almost entirely wiped them out.
Not in Europe. :)

Ten of the affected stores will be turned into e-commerce distribution centers

WalMart does not make its' own products; it is essentially a retail fence for what it gets from China.  This is also why America is falling apart economically, because it has been forgotten that agricultural and industrial output are the only real forms of wealth that exist.  The tech industry and the stupid AnCaps who are so fanatical about cryptocurrency can claim whatever they like, but the simple fact is that the entire reason why China is an emerging great power, is because they have put their money into physical assets.

If America wants to regain its' former economic position, then the government needs to focus on civil engineering and industrial infrastructure, which were what earned the country its' initial wealth in the first place.  Silicon Valley needs to die.
