 pets r us
i agree that you get what you think about
and the mothman movie was mostly filmed down the road from me in Kittanning
and it is about point pleasant , west virginia.. down the road a bit further in the opposite
direction

ok.. based on a story
how much is a true story i don't know
yes they saw something there in w.v. and yes there was a tragedy but were they connected or just things that happened..anybodys guess
how many tradgeties are there without sigthings is my question..i think they far outnumber
the ones following so called sightings
but that is just my opinion

i labeled the thread that because the description sounded like what i have heard described as mothman
and only as a means of labeling a topic..i have no idea what it was that was seen
lol.. ;D.. if i would have had a topic heading of ..something running across the road..i don't think anyone would have read it

in dealing with anything here or there you have to be without fear..
most things can be met face to face if you can do it
without fear of what you are facing
to be fearless is something i strive for

all is well

In terms of whether or not I'm afraid of them, let me put it this way.  I've summoned two particular beings before; one of which I needed someone else's help to get rid of.  If that person hadn't helped me, I'm not sure what would have happened.  I also performed a lot of seances as a teenager with some other people, and had some crazy stuff happen.

If you know how to protect yourself from these things, then it is ok.  I'm not actually saying that I do know how to, fully.  The point, however, is that from what I've seen, most of the worst things out there, actually won't touch you if you don't bother them.  It's actually only if you summon them or get their attention, that they become a problem.

I actually wasn't always afraid; without going into specifics, I bit off a lot more than I could chew, a couple of times.  That is the only reason why I'm a lot more cautious now.  There are things out there which are a lot bigger than we are, and you don't want to antagonise them.

well the  two things you shouldn't have done

performed a lot of seances as a teenager
 I've summoned beings

no offense but you sound like a repeat of my youngest sister
she did the same thing and pretty much had the same comments
i pulled her butt out of the fire on the summoning...
had to learn real fast and we got lucky
she was afraid till she passed and even after

curiousity can get you dead or worst..depends where you stick your nose
so it's always better to get info on what's behind the door before you go knocking on it

but you can't let fear rule you either... it's a fine line
and it sounds like you're close to figuring it out..
but being a young'un you will probably get a few more fingers burnt
before you figure it all out for yourself

a lot of folks make the mistake of calling me pollyanna because
i look for joy and beauty in every day and early on in the day
the purpose is to set the tone
if you get out of bed by first looking under it..kinda makes life hard
so fear less has many ways to be

watch your six, youn'un

No offense taken.  It's how we learn; and in a way I'm grateful for the experience, because there are some other magick forums I've been on, where other people will talk about doing stupid stuff along those lines, and I've been able to warn them.

I will admit, however, that it has pretty much scared me completely straight, now; at this point I've got something of a block with even doing certain things that are actually beneficial.  So that is something I have to work through, as well.

It feels good to be called young'un; my age is something else I've been developing neurosis about for the last couple of years, as well.  I know I'm not old; nowhere near it, but 35 does feel like, to quote Churchill, "the end of the beginning." ;)

how we learn.. well i read about fire and decided i didn't need to stick my hand in flame to
check out the info...but that's just me

my sister didn't believe what she read and had to check it out for herself..
we're all different and learn differently

as far as age.. it's only a number counted by morons in this existense ..letting you know
the old meat suit is only on loan..don't let it bug you

like some other guy said

"Age is a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter"

remember what you started out with..

what you think about is drawn to you..
and your mind is the hardest thing to change...so work on that for a bit
and see what happens
and give yourself a hug now and then..it's good for your flexibliity
 ;D

boy have we wondered away from the op..hahahahahahah

it's all good
