Hurricane Irma Sucked The Ocean Away From Florida And Bahamas Beaches
Hurricane Irma is so powerful that it has temporarily sucked the ocean away from beaches in Florida and the Bahamas in recent days.
This natural phenomenon occurs during extremely powerful storms.

Yep, that was a helluva blow from Irma, for peeps were walking around the sea floor at the Bahamas, and then those turkeys on the weather channel were getting wiggy when Tampa Bay went dry :P
The storm surge yesterday flooded Charleston SC and that is 300 miles away from where the eye was last night at Columbus, Georgia

I remember when the weather channel came to Denver to cover a major blizzard. They stood around waiting for the snow that never happened. I think that one ended up tracking south. I think I will still take blizzards over hurricanes. It's too hard to shovel water.

I know Irene has mentioned this twice and I was meaning to reply to her about it..
It reminds me of what happens when you a tsunami where the sea or tide appears to have disappeared or goes far out, before the destruction occurs.
Or a bit like some of the type of theory of the Parting sea in Moses and the Bible...
But I think this case is like having a change in the pressure acting to the sea...maybe like a pressure relief..
but Im not sure what may happen next or after..
