ok I admit to being a bit crazy in taking photos of just about anything..so just laugh and en~joy
the cicada’s are here yearly and are part of the sounds of summer
and as I was walking past the maple tree I spotted the empty shells and thought it would make a cool pic.. sooooooo
here they are
al natural
no I didn’t line them up this is how they were
a little pink spray paint might help them to stand out for their picture lol
and my favorite.. the march of the bugs...
so a bit of education on them.. if anyone cares
http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/bugs/cicada/There are more than 1,500 species of cicada, but one of the best known is the periodical cicada that emerges from the ground every seventeen years.

It's amazing to see th' wonders of nature! After living in th' ground for years it took this Arkansas Cicada about an hour to emerge from it's shell. I returned him to his tree th' next morning to go find his buddies.
Thanks to sunsetlover and 805ROADKING for th' idea!
