Pareidolia Practice
« on: February 06, 2012, 09:15:09 pm »
I have seen that lots of people can't see the objects that have been posted in different threads on Mars and the Moon.

Here is an image that I found, that contains some objects.

Let me know (via PM) what you think it is........ [ don't spoil it by posting the answer, let the others find it themselves ]

After a while i will post what it is.

2 people I know couldn't find anything even after 1 hr of looking... see if you can  ;D

Sit down before fact like a small child, and be prepared to give up every preconceived notion, follow humbly wherever and to whatever abyss nature lead, or you will learn nothing. —T. H. Huxley

Infreredman, that is a really good hidden "intended pun" in your statement!. Your pun didn't "set" at first, but maybe that was because of the "monthly phase" it was in!  ;)

Zorg,

Saw that on the other thread.  Same concept...subject matter, even.  I caught Yours in less than a second - like WELL less than a second.  The one in the OP...  Took Me about the same time, but I spent about 3 second verifying My assessment, so I gave m'Self three seconds on that one.

EDIT to add:  Wait...  Your subject matter is slightly different, I do believe.  Silly Me.  Didn't pay good attention.

"Woodland Encounter, painted well along in my career, is a deliberate study in camouflage by misdirection, which grew out of my effort to break all the normal 'rules of compostion'. The bright-colored fox, deadcenter, distracts the eye from whatever is going on in the busy snowscape surrounding him. And the richness of design--a wonderful, natural part of the trees themselves-- also gave me the opportunity to play games with the traditionally accepted uses of space that govern a well conceived piece of art."--Bev Doolittle

Regarding that piece by Bev Doolittle... Her home is not far from where I live Sky Otter and you would LOVE it.... It blends into the surrounding major boulders surrounding it like a massive concrete Flying Saucer has landed on top and then sort of melted into the rocks! I understand she even has water flowing down a boulder in one of the main rooms because it is so nice to hear running water out here in the desert. The decks can get hot enough to fry an egg.... seriously...... but inside it is naturally very cool and quiet. You would love the place.

ah Linda
just seeing your post...

i think when we have to look past the surface . what we see
says more about who we are than what we have uncovered..
ain't it great

sounds like a wonderful home for such an artist
she did a show years ago in pgh and this painting was
the focal piece....
i stood in front of it a long time..enjoying every little part.

most people when ask what talent they would like to have (that they don't)
most say singing
i would luv to be able to put what i see on paper..and i think that is why
i  so enjoy my little camera.....snapshots of my world..so to speak..
a way to share without words..

sorry for the ramble.. ;)
