The Town of Eureka

Eureka is a small town somewhere USA that is run by a private corporation that contracts to the Department of Defense.

The town is populated by scientists and super geniuses that work on way out projects. Eureka is a TV series and every show invariably one of the experiments goes terribly wrong

The town itself is hidden from the world by a powerful holographic shield. Access is over a bridge that has been washed out. In reality the washed out bridge is a projection, but who would try to cross it?

below watch at 1:20 for then entering via the bridge.

Neil Grayston was originally hired to appear on just seven first season episodes of Eureka.

But the actor clicked with viewers and he was quickly upgraded to a regular on the SyFy series.

“I like where writers have taken my character,” Grayston told me this week about Douglas Fargo, who is now the head of Global Dynamics. “They’ve been feeding me, making me more human along the way. They’ve given me a bit more, as a person, more stuff to do. Just like Fargo in that sense.”

Cutthroat Mine Treasure Hawk #4

John has a gold Mine in the Gold Butte area of Nevada, out in the middle of nowhere accessed by only one road that was paved only a portion of the way to Whitney Pockets. From there it was a pounding road of worn rocks, getting smaller till you reached the old mining town of Gold Butte.

The whole area is historical with early man dwellings in 'caves' created by huge boulders, Anasazi sites, petroglyphs, 1800's mining, Depression tent cities and 1900's mining. even the Spanish were in the area using Natives as slaves to mine the gold.  John has all this documents and it will be presented to those interested

The mine is in the high desert, around 400 feet. Below is a picture of me and John from a year ago standing by some old mining tools on display. Someone mentioned in a thread on Area 51 that they didn't think A51 got snow... these mountains are in the same range and altitude as Area 51 hills

That mine is now closed... the BLM reclaimed the land and turned 250,000 square acres into a Desert Tortoise Preserve. John had the last active gold mine in the area. Despite having commendations from the state of Nevada for the safest, cleanest operation in Nevada, the BLM forces him out.

Odd thing is few people ATVing on the trails have ever seen a tortoise... but on the last day taking the flagpole out, sure enough their was a tortoise right in the middle of the road. We had to carefully move it to get by.

I guess it was one of those 'HaHa I win"... moments

Yeah they look like rocks  ;D  This is not our photo, but the road is identical

So what does Eureka have to do with John's Mine?

When John and I were going to and from the mine, we saw these white SUV's going in and out... Odd thing is we never found out where they went... You have to see the roads out there to understand fully but there was nowhere for them to go. The one dirt road had many trails, but those were barely passable by vehicles. We only saw one going in and it made a right turn on one fork.  Had the big mine truck and trailer so we couldn't follow

When John first told me I was a little skeptical,  then one day we were heading out Monday evening before dark... he pulls over and 5 of these suv's pass us going out

Saw them several times since... John had even gone down the trail we saw that one turn on and no sign of where they came from or went.

We joked around about Eureka, the TV show with the hidden research facility camouflaged by a hologram   :o  There were even the odd helicopters that came up the valley flying low, then over a hill and gone

I have searched on Google Earth... John's mine buildings are clearly visible

Below is an expanded view, click on it to get full details

http://www.thelivingmoon.com/47john_lear/04images/Mine_Photos/Mine_Area_001a.png

Once you reach the Ghost Town of Gold Butte, the road veers off and access to the mine is by driving up the wash. So when it rains, that wash is a river :D Click on image below to enlarge

http://www.thelivingmoon.com/47john_lear/04images/Mine_Photos/Mine_Area_001.png

So where are these white vans going? I have no idea. maybe now that I have more time I can go hang out and watch, but its getting hard out there in that desert for me. Will need to buy a new ATV before attempting to explore ant further.

On the side of the van I saw a name  B----- Institute. I had forgotten at the time what that word was, until today when someone mentioned "Battele Institute" in a private message. That immediately clicked  ;D

When I heard "Battelle,  I had a "Eureka" moment  ;D

So here we had vanishing white suv's in the desert in the middle of nowhere... we have a TV show about a hidden town in the middle of nowhere...

The premise of the show is that Global Dynamics a private science and technology development company working on weird science and contracting to the department of Defense...

"Headquarters in Columbus. Battelle Memorial Institute is a private nonprofit applied science and technology development company"

Maybe THIS is the REAL reason why John was kicked off the mine... he was the last active mine property up there. Its now a Desert Tortoise Refuge of 250,000 square acres, with limited public access by ATV that have to stick to marked trails

Coincidence?  I HATE coincidences like that :P

Battelle Memorial Institute

So I started looking into Battele... Who are they and what were they doing in my neck of the woods

Well naturally at this point I remembered that they were involved with Roswell...

Quote
Anthony Bragalia investigates the role of the Battelle Memorial Institute in the infamous Roswell UFO crash.

Were Battelle involved in the study of materials recovered from the alleged crash site ?

Recent discoveries confirm the connection between the esteemed Battelle Memorial Institute and the study of extraterrestrial material. This new information helps to substantiate the astonishing truth: In the late 1940s Battelle was contracted by Wright Patterson Air Force Base to study "memory metal" like the debris that was found at the site of a crashed UFO at Roswell, NM.

Roswell, Battelle and the memory metal

Okay that is a good start LOL... But I want Nevada...

Now remember I told you all the early historical sites out there near the mine? Well one of the first things I found was that Battele works with the DOE to protect historical sites when DOE is looking for test sites, etc.

Quote
Obsidian and roots came to the Columbia region from Shoshone and Bannocks in what is now northwest Utah and northeastern Nevada. Slaves, basketry, and wocas (a food) came from the Northern Paiutes of Oregon and Nevada, and marine shells came from the Puget Sound bands and chiefdoms (Zucker, Hummel, and Hogfoss 1983, p. 43)

okay so there is one reason they could be there, but what does DOE want in that area? The gold? :P

Well looking for Battele links, they are Global and there are many, many links. I have scratched the tip of the iceberg here.  Anyone want to help dig them up?

How about it Sky Otter... right up your alley :D

Notice the triangle with the - A - lien symbol inside.

That synbol almost reminds me of the soccoro NM ufo incident where the egg shaped craft has something similar as reported by lonnie zamora.

Hey, Zorgon, I found this quip connecting Battelle with Rand, and Ufo research. Thought it might be an interesting read for all...

http://www.openminds.tv/the-rand-corporation-and-ufos-p1/
Quote

Everyone is aware of various studies and investigations on UFOs undertaken in the past by a fairly large number of U.S. government agencies including the Air Force, CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the National Security Agency (NSA), the Department of State, etc., which at least to some extent have been released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). More murky, however, is the role played by semi-official think tanks and research institutions which conduct classified studies for the government and which are an integral part of the so-called military-industrial complex.

It makes perfect logical sense that at least some of these private organizations were contracted in the past to conduct research on certain specific aspects involving UFOs and extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI). We know for sure this is true in the case of the Brookings Institution, the RAND Corporation, and the Battelle Memorial Institute, but there may be other organizations which have not yet surfaced to public light. One problem with think tanks and private research companies is that they are not subjected to the same FOIA rules which apply to official agencies, unless their studies were published as part of government reports.

Searching more..:D

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Battelle—the world's largest independent scientific research and technology development organization—has operated PNNL for DOE and its predecessors since 1965. One unique feature of Battelle's contract with DOE allows research to be conducted for private industry.

Quote
What if you could discover dark matter... curb U.S. dependence on foreign fuel... clean up an oil spill... or save the world from acts of violence before they happen—all by making a vital scientific discovery today? Better yet, what if you could improve humanity for generations to come by finding and nurturing the scientists who will discover a myriad of ways to improve the world around us? Would you? We are.

At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, our mission is to transform the world through courageous discovery and innovation. Our vision: PNNL science and technology inspires and enables the world to live prosperously, safely, and securely. Our values of integrity, creativity, collaboration, impact and courage provide the foundation for all we do.

Located in Richland, Washington, PNNL is one among ten U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories managed by DOE's Office of Science. Our research strengthens the U.S. foundation for innovation, and we help find solutions for not only DOE, but for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the National Nuclear Security Administration, other government agencies, universities and industry. Unlike others, our multidisciplinary scientific teams are brought together to address their problems.
