Breaking News: Police sergeant arrested in "fake cop" robberies
Posted: Jul 27, 2013

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -
We're following breaking news, a police sergeant is arrested accused of robbing unsuspecting drivers at gunpoint. Fox 2 has learned he was arrested Saturday by the SWAT team after he showed up at the 12th precinct. We're told police are looking for a second suspect. The investigation is ongoing. Stay with Fox 2 and myfoxdetroit.com for updates.

The first incident took place at a Citgo gas station near French and I-94 on Detroit's east side last Sunday. The clerk says two white men in a black Ford F-150 with police lights allegedly pistol-whipped customers pumping gas. The men stole cash and cell phones from their victims. A warning went out to be on the lookout for "fake cops" but it turns out those officers were not fake after all. It appears the sergeant in this case was driving his personal vehicle.

There were at least two reports of men posing as police officers and robbing unsuspecting drivers at gunpoint. The men had police badges, bullet proof vests and guns. They looked very official and police considered them armed and dangerous.

A second incident happened near Harper and 3 Mile Drive. A man says he was pulled over by three men in a unmarked Crown Victoria. The man was searched and while he answered questions, his wallet and CDs were stolen.

So, what can you do? Even police say you have permission not to stop if you don't believe a real police officer is trying to pull you over. Instead, call 911 and ask the dispatcher for assistance. If all else fails, drive to the nearest precinct.

Pennsylvania Judge Sentenced For 28 Years For Selling Kids to the Prison System

In the private prison industry, longer sentences earn more money from the state.

Since 2003, Ciavarella received millions of dollars in bribes for condemning minors to maximum prison sentences. In one case, Ciavarella sentenced a 10-year-old to two years in a detention facility for accidentally bottoming out his mother’s car.

According to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, over 5,000 young men and women were unjustly sentenced to prison and denied their constitutional rights. Many of them have now been released and cleared of their charges.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has overturned some 4,000 convictions issued by him between 2003 and 2008, claiming he violated the constitutional rights of the juveniles – including the right to legal counsel and the right to intelligently enter a plea. Some of the juveniles he sentenced were as young as 10-years old.

Ciavarella was convicted of 12 counts, including racketeering, money laundering, mail fraud and tax evasion. He was also ordered to repay $1.2 million in restitution.

His “kids for cash” program has revealed that corruption is indeed within the prison system, mostly driven by the growth in private prisons seeking profits by any means necessary.

Ciavarella, known for his harsh and autocratic courtroom manner, was convicted of racketeering, money laundering, mail fraud, and tax evasion. He was ordered to pay $1.2 million in restitution.

“Unfortunately, two judges in Luzerne County have caused unimaginable taint to the laudable efforts of many dedicated individuals,” Chief Justice Ronald D. Castille said, “conduct for which those two judges presently are paying dearly,”

Police Taser 11-Year-Old Autistic Girl Found Wandering Naked on Highway (VIDEO)

June 24, 2013

Quote
ASHLAND, OR — Drivers witnessed a young child wandering naked along the side of the highway. One driver, Adam Bednar, stopped his car and called police to help. That decision ended up being a painful one for the 11-year-old girl, who suffers from autism.

Bednar says that the trooper who arrived called for her to stop, and when she didn’t respond threatened twice to taze her. After giving no response, two little red dots appeared on her back, then metal barbs. The child did not respond because of her learning disabilities.

“She seized up and she fell face first on the ground,” said Bednar.

The department backed up the officers’ actions by claiming the girl was going into traffic. But Adam Bednar, the eyewitness, says that is a lie. “She wasn’t going off the road, she was set on walking down the freeway,” he stated.

The girl’s father contacted Infowars to clarify some of the misleading reports being issued by the media. “They keep calling her a ‘woman’ …she is 11 years old. Since when is an 11-year-old kid with the mind of a 3-year-old a ‘woman’? She is very gentle and non combative. If the police cannot apprehend a child who is cooperative without Tasing then what would be the alternative? Shooting her?”

A compassionate person would have walked up to her and wrapped a blanket around her. A psychopath electrifies the helpless child with a taser.

Rochester, NY U.S. Postal Service mail carriers can go their entire careers delivering mail to tens of thousands of homes, encountering thousands of dogs, and yet never have to use their work-issued pepper spray on one of them.

Rochester, NY Police officer Chris Burgstrom can’t go 6 months without using his department-issued firearms, to kill two family pets, shooting both in their heads.

On Monday January 7, 2013, Steven Jodoin Benus went ice fishing, on Lake Ontario, with his 1 1/2 year old pit-bull terrier, Codi.

Shortly afterwards, Codi wandered off from Steven’s friend’s house.

Steven spent the next couple of days, covering at least 100 miles looking for his best friend Codi.
On Tuesday January 8, 2013, as Steven was searching for Codi, Rochester, NY Police officer Chris Burgstrom responded to a call for a lose dog in the area of Beach Ave., near Charlotte Lake Ontario State Park.

North Carolina Cops
Shoot and Kill Unarmed Car Accident Victim

Quote
An unarmed man seeking help after a car crash over the weekend was shot 10 times by the Charlotte police officer who's now charged in his death, investigators said Monday.

A police news release said Officer Randall Kerrick fired 12 times at 24-year-old Jonathan A. Ferrell early Saturday while responding to a breaking and entering call. Ten of the bullets hit the former Florida A&M University football player.

Kerrick was charged with voluntary manslaughter and is scheduled for a first court appearance on Tuesday.

Family members said at a news conference that Jonathan A Ferrell, 24, had lived in the Charlotte area for less than a year and was likely unfamiliar with the area he was driving when he crashed early Saturday.

Police were called after the former Florida A&M University football player knocked on the door of a home near the crash. He was hit with a Taser as he approached officers and then shot

David Eckert Appears To Clench His Buttocks; Cops Order Enemas, Colonoscopy, X-Ray For Non-Existent Drugs

Quote
New Mexico man is alleging abuse after authorities conducted three enemas, a colonoscopy, an X-ray and several cavity searches on him simply because he appeared to clench his buttocks.

David Eckert's attorney recently filed a federal lawsuit on his behalf over the Jan. 3 incident, in which police and doctors co-opted an "unethical," 14-hour series of cavity searches, KOB-4 reports.

Court documents state that Eckert was driving out of Wal-Mart in Deming when he failed to fully stop at a parking lot stop sign. He was immediately pulled over.

When he stepped out of his vehicle, an officer reported that he appeared to be clenching his buttocks. That fact was cited as probable cause to suspect that Eckert was hiding narcotics in his anal cavity. Officers obtained a search warrant and Eckert's humiliating examination began at a nearby medical center.

From KOB-4:

Eckert’s abdominal area was X-rayed; no narcotics were found.
Doctors then performed an exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
Doctors performed a second exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.
Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a second time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a third time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.
Doctors then X-rayed Eckert again; no narcotics were found.
Doctors prepared Eckert for surgery, sedated him, and then performed a colonoscopy where a scope with a camera was inserted into Eckert’s anus, rectum, colon, and large intestines. No narcotics were found.
Eckert's attorney told the Herald-Sun that the case needed to go public because it could set a scary precedent.

"If the officers in Hidalgo County and the City of Deming are seeking warrants for anal cavity searches based on how they’re standing and the warrant allows doctors at the 'Gila Hospital of Horrors' to go in and do enemas and colonoscopies without consent, then anyone can be seized," Shannon Kennedy said.

Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante argued that his officers "follow the law in every aspect." Kennedy said that the officers' warrant allowing them to search Eckert expired hours before his ordeal was over, and the warrant wasn't even valid in the county where the procedures were performed.

Eckert is suing the City of Deming, Deming police officers Bobby Orosco, Robert Chavez, Officer Hernandez, and Hidalgo County deputies David Arredondo, Robert Rodriguez and Patrick Green. He's also suing Deputy District Attorney Daniel Dougherty and the Gila Regional Medical Center.

YOU COULD NEVER ANTICIPATE THIS HAPPENING IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’
Nov. 5, 2013 3:19pm

Quote
What began as a simple traffic stop ended in a humiliating and nightmarish ordeal for a New Mexico man. It won’t come as a surprise to most people why the man has now filed a federal civil rights lawsuit.

The incident began on Jan. 2 as David Eckert was leaving the local Walmart in Deming, N.M. He reportedly failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign, prompting police to pull him over.

The officers asked him to step out of the vehicle and claim the man appeared to be clenching his buttocks, Eckert’s attorney, Shannon Kennedy, told TheBlaze. It is unclear why police removed him from the vehicle in the first place. However, because the cops believed he was clenching his buttocks, they took it as reason to suspect him of hiding narcotics in his anal cavity.

Police officers detained Eckert after a narcotics sniffing dog allegedly issued a “hit” on Eckert’s car seat. Meanwhile, they sought a search warrant for an anal cavity search.

“What is so strange about this case is they held him with no evidence,” Kennedy said. “They seized him to collect evidence, to go on a fishing expedition on someone’s body.”

Upon securing the warrant, Deming police officers took the man to an emergency room, but hit their first snag when a doctor refused to perform the anal cavity search because he believed it to be “unethical.”

So police tried again at the Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, N.M., where doctors agreed to the search.

KOB-TV outlined the disturbing series of events that occurred next, details confirmed by medical records and official documents provided to TheBlaze by Eckert’s attorney:

1. Eckert’s abdominal area was X-rayed; no narcotics were found.

2. Doctors then performed an exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.

3. Doctors performed a second exam of Eckert’s anus with their fingers; no narcotics were found.

4. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.

5. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a second time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.

6. Doctors penetrated Eckert’s anus to insert an enema a third time. Eckert was forced to defecate in front of doctors and police officers. Eckert watched as doctors searched his stool. No narcotics were found.

7. Doctors then X-rayed Eckert again; no narcotics were found.

8. Doctors prepared Eckert for surgery, sedated him, and then performed a colonoscopy where a scope with a camera was inserted into Eckert’s anus, rectum, colon and large intestines. No narcotics were found.

Kennedy told TheBlaze these are undisputed facts from medical records, not claims made by her client.

As he was being detained and probed, Kennedy said Eckert never gave doctors his consent to perform the procedures and protested his treatment, which all arose from the simple traffic violation.

The entire ordeal lasted for roughly 12 hours.

TheBlaze has reached out to the Deming Police Department. This story will be updated should the department respond.

That is the most insane thing I have read in a long
while, in fact this ranks up there with Hitler...

Honestly, hard to fathom the medical community
went along with this, and how did they force this
upon that man? Was he not allowed an attorney?

Texas cop accused of handcuffing and raping teen at traffic stop

Quote
A San Antonio, Texas police officer has been arrested and charged with raping a 19-year-old woman following an early morning traffic stop.

Jackie Len Neal, 40, was arrested on the charge of felony sexual assault on Saturday, November 23. Neal is accused of tailing a woman while on duty around 2 a.m. on Friday, pulling her over, handcuffing her, and raping her in the back of his police vehicle.

“I can't express in words how disappointed and angry I am about this,” said Police Chief William McManus to the San Antonio Express-News. “I am at a loss for words. I am outraged. This is a punch in the eye to the Police Department.”

McManus added that this isn’t the first time Neal has been accused of sexual misconduct, and a woman made a similar complaint against the officer years ago. She declined to cooperate with police on an investigation, however, and the case did not move forward.

McManus has reportedly told his officers to get back in touch with that woman to see if she’d cooperate in light of recent events.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit concerning the recent rape charge, Neil told the unnamed woman he was following that he pulled her over because the car she was in had been reported stolen. The woman showed Neil documentation for the vehicle, but he asked her to step outside of the car anyway for a pat down.

Feeling uncomfortable with the situation, the woman reportedly requested a female officer to pat her down. Neil allegedly ignored her request, and instead groped her during the procedure before cuffing her, taking her to his vehicle, and raping her. The affidavit goes on to state that the woman was told not to say anything about the incident.

Police were able to track the location of Neil’s vehicle with its GPS system, and confirmed that his car was parked at the site of the alleged crime for 18 minutes. Authorities also said that Neil knew the camera in his car wasn’t working at the time, which would have otherwise captured the whole incident on tape.

“There is no such thing a consensual sex on duty,” McManus said to the Express-News, after noting that all officers are banned from having sex on duty. “I feel silly even saying that we won't tolerate it. Of course we won't tolerate it. There is no gray area. This is a criminal offense.”

The police chief added that if anyone else has a similar complaint against one of the department’s officers, he wants them to file a report as soon as possible.

“I praise the victim for having the courage to come forward and having the confidence in the SAPD to handle the case effectively,” he said.

As for Neil, the Express-News reported that the 11-year veteran was released on a $20,000 bond, and will continue to be paid, pending an indictment.

Helmet Video of Albuquerque Cops Shooting Homeless Man Sparks Outrage Across New Mexico
Ed Krayewski|Mar. 26, 2014

Quote
Albuquerque, New Mexico, police described James Boyd, the homeless camper who was fatally shot during a stand-off over illegally camping in a public space while he appeared to be turning away, as a mentally disturbed man with a violent 20-year criminal history. The police alleged he had previously threatened officers, that he was reaching for a knife, that a K-9 officer was in danger and that Boyd was mentally disturbed the day the police shot him. A few years ago, that might've been the end of the story. But the shooting was caught by police helmet cams (video at bottom), and has sparked outrage across New Mexico. The Albuquerque police only began to wear cameras in 2012, the same year those officers came under Department of Justice review and in which they fatally shot 17 people.

FBI investigating police shooting of camper

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The FBI has opened an investigation into the recent police shooting of a homeless camper as he appeared to be surrendering, officials said Friday.

It is the first confirmed criminal investigation of Albuquerque police by federal officials, who more than a year ago launched a civil rights probe of the department over allegations of excessive force and a spike in police shootings. Since 2010, police have been involved in 37 shootings, 23 of them fatal.

In a statement, the FBI said it will investigate the fatal March 16 shooting to "assure the public that a thorough and fair investigation will be conducted."

Community leader Ralph Arellanes hailed the announcement, but he said it was "long overdue."
