What got people interested in the Paranormal/Esoteric
« on: October 10, 2017, 02:10:52 pm »

Just very curious as too what might have first got people on here interested into the paranormal and the esoteric and also do your partners have the same interest .. I am totally fascinated by a lot of subjects outside of mainstream science  :)  My Partner is not in anyway interested  :o  ;D but is really tolerant of my interest in this.

Thanks in advance, I am genuinely interested in peoples responses.  8) 8)

Have a tip top day/evening/morning what ever time-zone you may be in.

Cheers!

what might have first got people on here interested into the paranormal and the esoteric

basically things i couldn't explain and big folks couldn't or wouldn't answer
as i've said before the standard answer i would get was
"you must have dreamt that"

so i started looking .....and here i is..hahahahahahah

Hey Fans! good question..I read Chariots of the Gods in the seventies and it was balls to the wall since then!

Also had some bad experiences in church as a boy, no abuse, just an incredulous feeling that people actualy believed that crap, so I went off on theology for a while, and bingo, where does that lead? Egypt....Megaliths..etc..its a wonderful world, weve only been recording 6-10 thousand years of it...so much to learn!

Cheers!

Cheers Le,

My interest started when I read about the Barney & Betty Hill story back in the 1970s, and a also book about the Adamski, and the UFO flaps of the Lubbok Lights and Washington sightings.

Like you Le the whole Bible story when I was young seemed like a very advanced fairy tale, back in the early 70's when I could understand the Irish troubles, I couldn't get anyone to tell me why Big G would allow two versions of the same faith/belief go about killing each other in cold blood - in fact I used to read a lot of swords and sorcery books and they seemed more believable, that and the recorded history that was feed to me as a kid growing up seemed to have a lot of missing information - The Pyramids for example, how did they get built? and when ? and by who?

Anyway I have always had a interest in the paranormal but it is really this last 5 years or so that I have found myself getting deeper and deeper down the esoteric rabbit hole Le' - I think that web-access has made it a lot easier as well to do research on the many topics that come under its umbrella.

Cheers!

Unanswered questions and unexplained events. :)

Being someone that is always looking for explanations, whenever I don't feel happy with one I try to find a better one, that's how I reached the conclusion that god isn't needed by nature, only by humans, when I was 9 years old.

As I haven't found any of the answers for all my questions I keep looking. :)
