Boil 1 cup of Rice in Chicken stock. (Set aside in the frig to cool)
1 toe of garlic minced
1 onion minced
1 bag of frozen peas and carrots
1 can of baby corn
1 can of water chestnuts
1 can of bean spourts
1 lb of shrimp
1 lb of pork tasso
2 eggs
sesame oil
Hoisin sauce
Soy Sauce
You can use anything you like for the veggies
I use can goods when I can't get fresh
Add a little olive oil to your wok
Add shrimp and cook, stirring constantly so it doesn't burn. (if you've never cook in a wok, it heats quickly)
Set cooked shrimp aside
finely chop the tasso set aside
I like to scramble my eggs, some fry...set aside
add sesame oil to pan
add garlic and stir quickly for 20 seconds
add onions
add veggies stirring frequently
add two tbl spoons of Hoisin sauce, mix well
when veggies are soft, add shirmp and tasso and egg
mixing well
sprinkle with soy sauce to taste
add rice and mix
as an added touch, add chopped green onions for color
salt and pepper to taste..
This recipe is something that I've experimented with and it's what I like
It takes practice to get it just the way you like it.
