Valeria Lukyanova: "Space Barbie."
« on: August 04, 2013, 02:50:21 pm »
http://www.vice.com/en_uk/my-life-online/space-barbie-full-length

This is one of the most profoundly disturbing people that I think I've ever come across.  I found her documentary linked from Disclose.tv.

Essentially she is a Ukrainian woman who has tried to turn herself into the stereotypical blonde sex bomb, in order to more effectively communicate with people about spirituality.  She says that she has had some past lives on other planets, which is interesting.  That, in and of itself, however, is not what disturbs me about her.

I realise that what really freaks me out about this woman, is her appearance.  It makes me realise that I am just as superficial myself as the people she is trying to appeal to; the only difference is, my superficiality goes in the opposite direction.

I find photogenic blondes just as repulsive and intimidating myself, as most people apparently find their opposite; and that is because I have a very strong mental association between such women, and apathy, superficiality, cruelty, snobbery, and rejection of people.  I overwhelmingly expect that sort of behaviour from someone who has that sort of appearance.  In other words, if she was either just average or really ugly, I would find her a lot less intimidating, and much easier to accept.

She makes me want to curl up into a foetal position on the floor and cry uncontrollably.  I'm not sure why; there's just something about her that traumatises me.  I think it's a combination of the blondeness, the snakes, and her listing various Gods in a voice that sounded like Linda Blair from The Exorcist.

petrus maybe this is not her case BUT the majority of beautiful women that you see in the nightclub are alone because men think they are out of their league, women feel intimidated and feel there looks won't match up so they too stay away.

what is left is a woman that is demoralised by the total lack of attention she feels there must be something wrong with her.

These my friend are the one's I go straight for as my mates look on in disbelief as i snare the lass by telling her exactly what she wants/needs to hear.
social conditioning and stereotyping has so much to answer for.barbie arm pieces are ten a penny
if thats what you want.but I see you don't.no problem just saying how it is.

My ex-girlfriend from six years ago was really beautiful; even moreso when she was younger.  Given how bad my own physical self image has always been, I was never able to reconcile the fact that we were together psychologically because of that, and it was a contributing factor (although only one of many) to the reason why we broke up.

I have no idea what they want or need to hear.  I think that is a really big part of the issue as well.

Here in Vegas the night clubs are FULL of hot babes... usually they end up dancing alone...

What to say?  "Care for a dance?" works for a start :D

Guys are always worried about what they look like :P and they say women are vane... and then they look at a hot babe walking with some troglodyte and say" How the F... does a guy like that get a babe like that!"

LOL

It's been that way since the beginning :P

It's not that we're vain; or at least not in my case.  It's that rejection hurts.

The other issue is the level of danger that you potentially put yourself in, from other guys.  I used to go to a local nightclub in Sunbury, and unlike apparently everyone else there, my goal was simply to dance.  When I went out on the floor though, I'd get followed and mimicked by other guys there, who either saw me as competition, or were apparently threatened by the idea that me dancing was gay or effeminate somehow.  I don't know.

They're not that big.  She's a heavy DD at most.  Very mainstream.

This is Linsey Dawn MacKenzie, the woman who I spent most of the latter half of adolescence wishing I could have lost my virginity with.  She was a natural GG cup, until she took the catastrophic step of getting a large reduction.  I am glad she did it from the point of view of avoiding the back pain and other complications which they might have caused her, but still...there was a day of great mourning held by breast fetishists everywhere, myself included.
