Well, since a couple of us mentioned coconut oil in a "General Discussion" thread, I thought it worthwhile to start a specific thread on that subject here. Until about three months ago, i pretty much knew nothing about coconut oil, except that many years ago it was used in popping popcorn.
Well, a video someone sent to me, which I did watch, really did make quite an impression. To make it brief, after considerable additional research on the internet, "unrefined" coconut oil has now become our primary oil for cooking. The potential health benefits are considerable, and it does taste good. It is good, even as a replacement for butter on toast.
While coconut oil may not be suitable for everyone, "knowledge is golden". So I am going to include below first, the video that I viewed that started this for me. Then I am posting a six part video (in multiple posts) with the same lady doctor, that you will see in the first video.
This is all about the lady doctor's husband, who has Alzheimer's, and her efforts to help him with
that. Pretty incredible!
If this interests you, as it did me, then do your own research on the net, to learn more, to decide if it might be for you too.
What do you think?
