Title: Stranger Things 2 Trailer
Post by: Somamech on July 24, 2017, 10:22:40 am
I have to admit I was not really in favour of the second season of Stranger Things mainly due to how some show's I really like may only run for one season and wrap the story up in 8 hour's or so and make those 8 hour's grand.

Today I saw the Trailer for Stranger Things 2 and I take all of that back.

How many people can identify with the upside down in Real Life? When was the last time you were in a Dream and *Something* tried to take your body and you had to battle to get your own body back into the safety of your soul yet still not know your foe?  In a weird way.. this is what Stranger Thing's is about to me!

And in our Sleep, this Happens to Millions of People...Day in and Day out

Mate, I think the wallaby stew is getting to ya  8)

just put down the remote and walk towards the sound of my voice...

Some of the stuff they come up with for these shows really make you wonder at times if they just have a vivid imagination or are relating weird experiences  :o

but I will have to read your synopsis of it, for I generally don't watch the tube

 :P 8) ;D

Mate... In Stranger Things 1,  they had MK Ultra and a Secret Gov Lab operating under the pretence of an Energy Supplier. It's a TV show... THAT Works, and People can relate to it!

This show is going to be seen by million's of people WorldWide on Netflix, and those million's of people are going to want to search out those weird things that happened in their own life that they cannot explain what happened to them in Real Life.

The everyday person which include's us all here at time's cannot explain what we have seen, or what happen's when we are asleep.  We cannot explain why we see structure's on the moon and other's don't.

That's what happens to all of us, why we chase conspiracies, search the sky for UFO's, or walk old graveyards at midnight looking for ghosts, trying to find answers to those questions that we cannot walk away from...

Exactly  8) Most every one of us here have had that one event that shook us to the core, when we hit the point of no return to the normal, mundane, yada yada yada world;
at times it can be fascinating, at other times a burden, and occasionally scare the bejabbers out of us...

but it beats the hell out of watching the 6 o'clock propa-poop cast and wondering what chaotic mess will await us at work the next day, or is the boss going to figure out how to be an even bigger jerk...

Perhaps it will motivate some of the citizens to start looking around, might even find their way here to Pegasus with blokes like you and I, John Lear,Zorgon, and all the rest of the crew  :P

Miss Biggle's it is only on netflix as netflix paid for it.  If you want to watch the series for free here in Oz just wait till season 2 is broadcast in October and get yourself a free trial to netflix for ONE month and watch both series one and two and then cancel your subscription.  You will have to sign up to netflix with a CC and all the other hoopla, but it's quite minimal and you can then bail out before your first free month expires!

Netflix is funny Miss Biggles, I have a love hate relationship with the Aussie version due to seeing what the USA version has compared to ours.  I tend to keep it though as I've  watched Stargate Atlantis on there when they had it, watched a load of Star Trek along with other sorta B grades horror movies... Oh and Weeds by Jenji who is also the script writer for Orange is the new Black.

What I find with having Netflix is that I condense my screentime down compared to watching Normal TV or Foxtel.  For example, I could spend 3 hour's on TV to watch one movie on normal TV, or  could watch two, or better I could watch one in 1.5 hour's and do other stuff.

I've tried to explain this to people at work who think I watch a lot of TV how the opposite is quite true. I hardly watch TV compared to most people as when I do watch it I mainly will watch about 2-3 episodes of a scifi for a couple of hour's minus all the adverts and be done with it!  It's very easy to finish 100 episodes over 3 months using that method :D

Regarding Stranger Things mate, You would love it!  ;)
