Yachtsman says the Pacific is broken.  This is indeed an eyewitness story.

http://www.theherald.com.au/story/1848433/the-ocean-is-broken/

IT was the silence that made this voyage different from all of those before it.

Not the absence of sound, exactly.

The wind still whipped the sails and whistled in the rigging. The waves still sloshed against the fibreglass hull.

And there were plenty of other noises: muffled thuds and bumps and scrapes as the boat knocked against pieces of debris.

What was missing was the cries of the seabirds which, on all previous similar voyages, had surrounded the boat.

The birds were missing because the fish were missing.

Exactly 10 years before, when Newcastle yachtsman Ivan Macfadyen had sailed exactly the same course from Melbourne to Osaka, all he'd had to do to catch a fish from the ocean between Brisbane and Japan was throw out a baited line.

"There was not one of the 28 days on that portion of the trip when we didn't catch a good-sized fish to cook up and eat with some rice," Macfadyen recalled.

But this time, on that whole long leg of sea journey, the total catch was two.

No fish. No birds. Hardly a sign of life at all.

See more of this article from the New Castle Herald at the above link.

THIS IS FROM AN EYEWITNESS TO THE DEBRIS FROM AUSTRALIA TO OSAKA.

It appears the California school system has announced testing for Fukushima radiation.

California schools announce Fukushima testing: Imperative we monitor for any Fukushima contamination “that will be arriving this year” in ocean — LA Times claims levels are declining, fails to inform readers of radioactive plume crossing Pacific

This link will hook you up with several reports about the monitoring of kelp and other things.  People are becoming more aware of what is going on.  Why is the mainstream media continuing to back off?

Why is the mainstream media continuing to back off?

Simple...

1) We cannot stop it
2) We cannot move to escape it
3) We cannot stop it from getting into food and water supply
4) We cannot stop it  :P

So why scare people?

Oh and did I mention... we cannot stop it?

I agree totally.

I am sure this is the only thing that the MSM is withholding from us though.   ;D

That is the Issue: We cannot stop it... At Chernobyl the reaction mass mixed with the sand around the reactor vessel and formed Corium as it is called, but now it appears to be in the process of destabilizing...

unless someone develops a way to separate the mass into small enough pieces to not sustain critical mass it is what it is...

You all of course are right.  We cannot stop all this but we can keep people informed.  Along with keeping people informed we could convey information about how people can fight this.  One thing I have been told by friends where I live is to don't worry about it because we all are going to die eventually.  Not trying to become negative but sometimes you wonder if you should keep putting out the information.

I wonder if we have anyone here in the forum that lives in California that owns or has access to a geiger counter?  Perhaps obtain some readings from beach areas.

Biblical scholars help me out here, but the Russian meaning of the word Chernobyl is Wormwood.

Is this prophecy coming true?  Rather than a death star that everyone is looking for....is it really poisoning from radiation that is the third trumpet?

Although the word wormwood appears several times in the Old Testament, translated from the Hebrew term ???? (la'anah) (which means "curse" in Arabic and Hebrew), its only clear reference as a named entity occurs in the New Testament, in the book of Revelation: "The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter." (Rev 8:10–11)

Here we go:

Looks like someone has taken a clue that the
Governments are not interested in tracking the problem,
and has decided to form a citizen science project
to track the radiation.

Quote
Now, a scientist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in Massachusetts is launching a new citizen science project to measure levels of radioactive cesium in water washing up along the West Coast.

This is a good thing that someone will step outside government operations at least to monitor the seawater at various points and to test it.  A shame we cannot trust the EPA to do so.  This type of testing is not cheap so they will definitely need the money to do this.  This is a good thing I believe.

Agreed.

I wonder to what extent they will be testing the
public school areas, I read that earlier if I recall?

Here too, the Military ships that were in Fukushima
area have crews that have fallen terribly ill; they plan
to file suit soon.
American rescue personnel believe health problems caused by sailing through radioactive plume.
Quote
"Next thing we know we've got this nasty, metallic taste in our mouth." She says the crew were ordered below. She believes they "had just got slammed by a radioactive plume".

This metallic taste evokes testimony from people who lived downwind of the Three Mile Island nuclear reactor meltdown in 1979 and by airmen on board the US plane that dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima in 1945. Cooper believes they passed through other radioactive plumes and describes sailors vomiting and losing bowel control as skin rashes appeared.

Sad indeed; Tepco knew right away, they should have been
truthful to the world. There were a few honest voices out
there in the beginning who tried to sound the alarm,
however with the MSM media complicit in the cover up
they kicked the can down the road.
