My Lucid Dream
« on: February 27, 2017, 10:48:55 am »
I had an extremely vivid lucid dream and it has disturbed me.

It was apocalyptic. The skies were dark and children were running. What disturbed me was it was the 50's. I could tell by the clothes they were wearing. Remember how big striped shirts were then? And I recognized the bikes.

It started when I was half-awake and going to sleep. I opened my eyes and the left was very blurry. I kept blinking to clear it. Finally, it cleared and I was thrust forward into the vision. It was like I was standing right there, sooo real. I felt immediate terror.

I think I saw an alternate reality, possibly one where we are nuked.

I have had a recurrent serial dream for quite some time now; my question is how much do you remember from the dream, and have the details of it faded over the course of the day...

It was a very brief window and I still remember it completely.

I. Was. There.

If I thought enough of the Bible I'd swear on it.  :o

ETA, I've had a couple of other experiences like this. In one of them the planet broke its back.

They're always apocalyptic. It's very strange.

Was this lucid dreaming or was it astral projection?

I think it was a little of both. I knew I was dreaming, but I was also physically there.

Quote
Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of an out-of-body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of an "astral body" separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it. Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body to travel in an astral plane.

Quote
A lucid dream is any dream during which the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming. During lucid dreaming, the dreamer may allegedly be able to exert some degree of control over the dream characters, narrative, and environment.

I wasn't questioning your experience, just wanting more information... at times the veils in between are thinner or paradigms become slightly inter-twined, allowing us to see bits and pieces of otherwhen...

No, no, you're fine. I just want to emphasize just how real it was. It was amazing.

The supposition is that at night our astral body, which is our real selves, not the meatsuit, can seperate and travel on the other side of the veil; in my personal experience there is another part of me that lives a separate reality while the piece of my consciousness that is here is asleep and resting...

Thanks for posting the definition, I didn't know what it meant. :)

All the dreams I remember (very few) are lucid dreams.

Makes you wonder if that's a glimpse of our lives after death or a parallel reality. I've also been to the Old West and I had one experience where I was a Roman at a banquet and I was eating some kind of sweet fruit.

I. Could. Taste. It.

Again, amazing.

Once I was actually in something like a wormhole and I could feel myself traveling through time, eons. I can't even describe it in words. There are no words.

I don't have them often, but when I do they always stick with me.  :)

I did read through that thread recently. It was very interesting.

The sense I get in my experiences is that I am some kind of official observer. I actually feel I am not to participate, but watch and see.

Then perhaps part of your learning experience is to be a watcher  8)

Define how being a designated observer is construed as necessarily being a bad thing?

I have heard a few speakers say we went through some type of catastrophe at the end of 2012 and that we are dead...............hmmmh.  Well then my pains haven't gone.

The other theory is when this happened a lot of us were bumped in to a parallel.

The thing is I have seen a couple of vids where ufo's attacked a missile in flight bringing it down.  Any type of nuke they do not want detonated because it effects other planets apparently.  If you would like to see that I could find the yt Irene.
I know that I know nothing - thanks Capricorn.
