American Musician Makes a POINT
« on: November 29, 2011, 12:39:24 pm »
Being an Ozzie, and someone 'who experienced' this band many times when they travelled in Australia...  I have to post this video.

A Good spirit standing up to the nonsense:

This is what I grew up on  :)

;D  Wow, that guy was great in his delivery!

He makes a lot of sense, I am interested in the outcome of this.

Why would they make an all ages ban? I dont know enough about
this, I wonder is this like age ratings here in the U.S. on certain
music albums?

 ;D

Its an old case, but due to that moron that spends his paid time making bugs that could kill Humanity, I couldn't help but remember that clip of Ian, and how even in his older age he is still fighting the corruption :D

I'm unsure of American Laws when it comes to under age people in licensed venues, but it does seem that the Black Cat venue Ian mentioned do still have some kind of under age shows as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

My concept of an under-age Fugazi show for an example in Oz, was of the license holder hiding all evidence of alcohol sales.  To be honest I'm unsure if we still have that here  :-\

With all this Occupy movement right now the World Needs a Musical Group like Fugazi inmho.

Hey BTS imagine seeing them play with that same kind of energy displayed in the court case vid.  As one person put it once not so long ago on their blog to someone that mentioned that Fugazi were the first band they saw... "Well that ruined all your future live music experiences."  LOL

Nazi's call us Dissident's, I say its correction of the fools  ;D 8)

Sorry to bore anyone here in regards to my musical fetish of folk that stand up in an intelligent manner...

When I first heard this song years ago written by the folk mentioned in this thread.. I thought that is the song for my funeral.

Well thoughts and understanding change over time and death is more a made up concept by the fear mongers as far as I'm concerned.   On the same token celebrating life is grand, it's infinite, and I still would like this song played when someone bury's the flesh under a tree to provide compost, as to me musically it entails Life in a short and sweet song.

Though the song is good, I would much rather have Bob Marley's "Freedom Song" played at my last hoorah. Either that or Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb".
But, I suppose we all have our own taste's , likes and dislikes. Thanks for sharing though. It is a nice song for sure.

Speaking of Comfortably Numb, you may find this of interest...

As you might know, The Wall is the true story of events in Roger Water's life.

In his current 2011 tour, we see further details of events he has hinted at earlier in his career:

At 9:52 - we see a young lad pointing to the sky and yelling.

At 1:12:51 - during Comfortably Numb we see animation of his "fleeting glimpse".

1:14:16 - He goes on to pantomime what he saw during his fleeting glimpse.

He also makes oh one or two points here and there about current politics (per usual for Rog).  ;D
