Dr Gorka looks and sounds like a happy guy.

Life of the party type of guy.   Not

They say NK won't last a few days.  It wouldn't be WW3 then.  Sounds like they forget China would likely step in also.

Don't be surprised if China doesn't step in and take care of North Korea themselves before we do  ::)
Kim jong un(stable) has been making open threats against the US for a very long time, and most of the analysis given above is probably conservative as to the actual timeframes

the main point of concern is to limit collateral damage to the hapless citizens of north korea, who would probably dance in the streets if they were freed from the iron fisted oppression of the Un regime...

I have doubts about the underlined part above, as it looks to me like most of the population is kept under a serious ignorance of what happens in the World, so they don't see the NK regime as we do and, accordingly, don't see other countries as we do either, so what they will probably see is bad country attacking them when they did nothing wrong.

Why do North Korean generals have so many medals?

Quote
I had responded to a similar question earlier so here is my response. Some of this is tounge-in-cheek but most is based on fact.

Outside of some minor support for the Ethiopian Civil War in the early 90’s, North Korea has not fought any major conflicts since the early 1950’s. There have been minor incursions in the South, but involved very few North Koreans at any given time. So, the question is how does the North Korean military win so many military ribbons and awards (see pics)? I was curious so I did some research. The truthfulness of the incidents and behavior is more than bizarre. Here are ten I found. There are over 50 possible decorations as the pictures below indicate.

The manager of a North Korean terrapin farm was reportedly executed shortly after Kim Jong-un visited his facility in May, the Korean news site Daily NK reported on Tuesday.

The Taedonggang Terrapin Farm was originally built by Kim's father, North Korea's previous leader Kim Jong-il, who "exerted efforts to provide the people with tasty and nutritious terrapin widely known as precious tonic from olden times," according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

3. Partners in Peace Award—this popular award is given to those who had any contact with Denis Rodman while he was in North Korea during several trips. Since Kim Jong-un worships Denis Rodman for appearing like the average American (facial jewelry, tattoos, sunglasses worn inside buildings, bleached hair, odd behavior) and he uses Denis’s image a lot to show North Koreans what average Americans look like. It really works.

6. The Brilliant Leader Worship Award—Kim Jung-un is referred to as the Brilliant Leader and surrounds himself with a large litany of yes-men dedicated to boosting his ego. Those who come up with the most creative compliments and praises are able to win this award. Sometimes called the “Whose Your Daddy Award” but very coveted. Like father like s-un: North Korean leader dictates to his entourage.

9. Eating Well Award—this award is for securing better rations than the rank and file soldiers. This award is awarded for every three years of prosperity in food consumption while the remainder of the military forces starve. This is nicknamed the “Rank Has its Privileges Award.” Defector: North Korean Troops Starving

10. Heavenly Cow Award—this award was for all military officers that would also partake of Kim Jung-II’s favorite meat, the donkey. Also referred to as “Jackass Tu” award. See Kim dines on donkey and says it's heavenly

Kim dines on donkey and says it's heavenly
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/northkorea/1336661/Kim-dines-on-donkey-and-says-its-heavenly.html

11. It's a Family Affair Award--this award is for family members only who can survive his wrath. For example, his uncle, Jang Song Thaek, who was second-in-command was found guilty of “attempting to overthrow the state.” And so, if reports are to be believed, Kim Jong-un had him executed. His uncle was apparently first stripped naked and then thrown into a cage of ravenous dogs that finished the human off.

(https://qph.ec.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-d846cef1bc8960890b2948445eb5c2a0-c)

And it didn’t stop there. There were reports that he allegedly silenced his grieving aunt by means of poisoning because she was angry at her husband’s execution. However, there were also reports that she either suffered a fatal heart attack or committed suicide. There was no confirmation about where or how she died.

So, now we know the origins of many of those metals North Koreans wear. A little tounge and cheek but the facts are really strange. I hope this has been insightful and educational.

The Chinese government has just suspended fuel sales with the North Korean government. This will severely affect North Korea's ballistic missile program as the country will have to find a new source for high-quality rocket fuel. These new sanctions come after Donald Trump has been pressuring China to stop trading with the rogue communist nation.

I am sure you will give us a detailed explanation  8) The only time period/event that I can see this happening would have been during WW2 at the hands of the Imperial Japanese, some 72 years ago; 7 years later the US fought them to a standstill and cease fire in 1952...

Just playing catch-up on the thread, and I understand, but I have not seen proof that NK sent a missile over Japan last week?..  there were comments that US Space Based Orbiting Laser but could be another technology blasted some of the NK previous Ballistic Missile launches in the past? -

I recall that John L (and again I could be wrong) mentioned that many moons ago the US had demonstrated a space based platform that cut a HUGE swath of ice away from the South Pole .. the image showed a almost perfect straight line of the ice pack/shelf having been "cut" by this space platform, I don't have links I am sorry to say to this as it was some time back so my apologies on not sharing the links or data  :-[

I watched a BBC lamestream media report from China, on the border with North Korea, about China still sending Oil to NK via train, despite comments that China would/was/will increase pressure on the NK regime.

There are also comments that NK is preparing another A test this weekend -

If Agenda 21 is to be implemented I guess now is the best cover for this  :-[ :-[ I really hope this is just Sabre rattling .. but I have a really bad feeling about this whole Opera.

peace out..

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but this North Korea situation sounds suspicious.

The US wanted to deploy their newest anti-missile system in South Korea, but they didn't wanted it. Things started escalating and then South Korea agreed to the deployment. Some time later the new South Korea prime minister stopped the deployment of the last four batteries, and things escalated again. Now he has asked for the deployment of the remaining batteries.

Trump - Strong Words to Korea - WWIII about to start?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqBGra0NphE

This video is a great example of why I'm no more an advocate of the Republicans or the Right, than the Democrats and the Left.  The environment is tearing America apart, and Trump is busy talking about opium and North Korea.

It's the stock standard 1950s Superman bovine fecal matter that is chapter and verse for the Republicans; but the only problem is, it isn't the 50s any more.  There was a time when most of the population had steady jobs and homes, yes; at which point the Right could be forgiven for thinking that if they just won the war on drugs, then that would be the last piece of the modern Utopian puzzle.

If Trump talks as though drugs are the biggest problem, he's only going to make himself look out of touch.  The real problems are the tent cities, the housing foreclosures, the dead malls everywhere, the abandoned towns, and the crumbling civil infrastructure.  This is the worst time in the country's history to have a Republican President.  Although the Democrats in reality are psychopathic monsters to exactly the same degree, they still usually pretend to give a crap about the people.  The Republicans don't.

North Korea isn't a truly serious threat to anyone, as far as I am concerned.  Yes, they're brainwashed to an insane degree.  Yes, they have a military of probably two million people.  Their missile delivery system is primitive, however, and more than anything else, they don't have a viable economy.  People talk about the size of their military as though it is something to be afraid of; but an army has to be fed and provisioned, and they would not be able to do that for any long period of time.  They might be capable of doing a lot of damage in a single initial strike somewhere, yes; but that would be it.  They wouldn't be able to support any kind of sustained campaign.  Their conventional weapons are archaic; once their (few, clumsy) nukes have been used, that's it.

Petrus, the problem is that you are in a country far removed from here, are only seeing a very small slice of what is actually going on thanks to the MSM propaganda machine;

that video clip was from a meeting being held about the drug problem here in the US, which is staggering, and the Potus responded to a question interjected about the NK deal

For your enlightenment, the economy is growing here; On a daily basis I actually see help wanted signs out in front of businesses, an event that hasn't happened in many years;

businesses are being given incentives and encouraged to build and expand their operations here instead of moving to foreign soil, large corporations such as Ford Motor Company, Trane, and GM are moving back to Detroit; unemployment is at it's lowest rate in a very long time

To quote former Presidential candidate and syndicated talk show host Herman Cain:
"Don't drink the FoolAid " when it comes to what you are seeing reported; and it helps to dig a little deeper and assess the whole picture, not base a whole diatribe on one short vid that has 15 seconds of relevance to the topic at hand

As for any issue with NK..there are so many irons in the fire we dont see as average citizens that I and everyone else are just left to trust our so called leaders to tell us as little as they can. :(

That being said, as a military veteran, I know our capabilities and what we can do to a decent degree, and using the term WW3 is far from what would happen, since most of those surrounding nations are allies of us or in some way as concerned as we are about a recent nuclear test of a bomb that could wipe any of their largest cities off the map.

Id picture any action being covert and swift, supported by peripheral actions of conventional warfare, like mopping up his escaping government members as they flee Pyongyang for safer locations, and securing other sites and bases to make sure noone steps into his shoes right away to exercise his sick desires.

As for here, I work with numerous people in the hospitality business and promotions businesses, as well as being a business owner myself, and I can say, the vast majority of us are seeing higher sales, and better outlooks for the year ahead (2018) and a huge increase in adding personnel, employees, or new clients across the board.

Its funny how unless you are here seeing it for yourself, the media will have you believe we are in a state of near civil war, when in reality the select few doing all the protesting and whining are a tiny percentage of the population here, who are mostly unemployed or irrelevant in the whole scheme of life in the USA...another anomaly of living in an external world who hates us, but secretly wants to be us.

I have seen ZERO protestors, ZERO Antifa dicks, ZERO reason for me to feel anything else but optimism for our nation, and have met very very few people who actually hate Trump like the media displays the majority of Americans to do. Most folks I know or am meeting are saying, "thank god Hillaroid didnt win", or "well I voted for her, but dont see Trump actually doing too bad"...as for the reality of this statement.."See Election Map"

'In short, its all distraction and bullsquirt for those who are watching from afar, and the one solution for it is to get off the computer/TV and try to spend a little time in society or nature, who will quickly answer those questions of "when the blacks and white in the US are going to start killing each other", or when "protests are going to burn down whole towns and cities"...it just aint gonna happen Miss Daisy, now where would you like to drive to next?

Cmon over here and see for yourself Petrus, we have lots of room and lots of wonderful people who will welcome you and present you with opportunity you can probably only dream of in wherever you live now, just make sure you do it the right way, to show respect for those ahead of you who have done so legally and correctly, and you will be rewarded with a totally different view than youtube, cnn, or any source will provide you from whatever media outlet you choose to listen to.

Cheers!
Le

Petrus, the problem is that you are in a country far removed from here, are only seeing a very small slice of what is actually going on thanks to the MSM propaganda machine;

I think that the amount of hysterical hate towards Trump that I see on Reddit is stupid; because said hate focuses exclusively on insensitive remarks that he has made, (about "grabbing women by the pussy," for example) rather than his actions.  I am not claiming that said comment was not disgusting; but the Left will allow their own leaders to get away with anything.  The only reason why they want to use things like that as an excuse to impeach Trump, is because he isn't on "their side."

It's funny.  When I first arrived in Nimbin in 2011, pretty much anyone who knew me would have identified me as a Leftist myself, albeit a non-statist one.  I haven't been driven towards the Right by anything the Right have done; I have been because of my observation of /r/Socialism.  They are absolutely disgusting; their are no words.
