America's Being Nuked: Can Together We Stop the Madness?
« on: September 08, 2012, 11:18:09 am »

After all the shouting is over, the grim silence of facts remain.
Joseph Conrad

To really understand the present, which was the future yesterday, one must learn from the experiences of the past.

We once were told something to the effect: “the present exists but for a fleeting moment, the past is but a memory - dead and gone forever; therefore, the only thing one can affect is the future.”

Quote
Even if Chernobyl did kill 200,000 people, compare and contrast that with the numbers killed by smog every year...

We couldn’t help but shudder when we read this. Gotta love the nuclear industry advocates’ sense of responsibility.

Speaking of Chernobyl, let us wander down the halls of yesteryear for a moment, thinking that perhaps we might learn a thing or two.

Depending on which report one is to believe, there were over half a million liquidators who cleaned up Chernobyl and the surrounding area after the accident. They were almost all young men at the time.

In an early 2000’s study, 60,000 had died and 165,000-200,000 were believed to be permanently disabled, despite most only being in their 40’s and 50’s.

Quote
Thus, speaking about liquidators, one should remember that the Chernobyl liquidators are a very vast group, embracing hundreds of thousands of people, most probably more than 0.5 million and less then 1 million. — “... there has never before been such a large population of workers exposed to radiation” (Goldsmith et al. 1997: 52; emphasis added).

In the city of Chernobyl there stands a simple memorial to the liquidators who rushed to reactor number four in the immediate aftermath of the explosion.

“To those who saved the world.”

Nuclear's green cheerleaders forget Chernobyl at our peril

Quote
I prefer the words of Alexey Yablokov, member of the Russian academy of sciences, and adviser to President Gorbachev at the time of Chernobyl:

'When you hear 'no immediate danger'
(from nuclear radiation)
then you should run away as far and as fast as you can.'

Quote
Five years ago I visited the still highly contaminated areas of Ukraine and the Belarus border where much of the radioactive plume from Chernobyl descended on 26 April 1986...

It was grim.

We went from hospital to hospital and from one contaminated village to another.

We found deformed and genetically mutated babies in the wards;
pitifully sick children in the homes;
adolescents with stunted growth and dwarf torsos;
foetuses without thighs or fingers
and villagers who told us every member of their family was sick.

Quote
This was 20 years after the accident but we heard of many unusual clusters of people with rare bone cancers. One doctor, in tears, told us that one in three pregnancies in some places was malformed and that she was overwhelmed by people with immune and endocrine system disorders.

Others said they still saw caesium and strontium in the breast milk of mothers living far from the areas thought to be most affected, and significant radiation still in the food chain.

Villages testified that "the Chernobyl necklace" – thyroid cancer – was so common as to be unremarkable; many showed signs of accelerated ageing.

Quote
The doctors and scientists who have dealt directly with the catastrophe said that the UN International Atomic Energy Agency's "official" toll, through its Chernobyl Forum, of 50 dead and perhaps 4,000 eventual fatalities was insulting and grossly simplistic.

The Ukrainian Scientific Centre for Radiation, which estimated that infant mortality increased 20 to 30% after the accident, said their data had not been accepted by the UN because it had not been published in a major scientific journal.

Would one of the more-informed members please help us here and explain the ‘process’ of being accepted for publication in a major scientific journal?

How many of these ‘accreditied’ journals are there?

Is there an editorial board that makes a decision as to publishing ‘controversial’ information?

We found this:

“Requiring a paper to have been accepted for publication in a quality journal means it has at least passed a minimum requirement.”

The question we have might be: Who exactly sets the bar for “minimum requirement?”

Quote
Konstantin Tatuyan, one of the "liquidators" who had helped clean up the plant, told us that

nearly all his colleagues had died or had cancers of one sort or another, but that no one had ever asked him for evidence.

There was burning resentment at the way the UN, the industry and ill-informed pundits had played down the catastrophe.

What he saw in those years, he says, appalled him:

young men dying for want of the simplest information about exposure to radiation;

the wide-scale falsification of medical histories by the Soviet army and the disappearance of people's records so the state would not have to compensate them;

the wholesale looting of evacuated houses and abandoned churches;

the haste and carelessness with which the concrete "sarcophagus" was erected over the stricken reactor;

and, above all,

the horror of seeing land almost twice the size of Britain contaminated, with thousands of villages made uninhabitable.

Will this horrible scenario be repeated in Japan?

From the information obtained to date, it appears eerily similar and suggests the possibility of more of the "same old same old."

"Everyone who helped on the clean up is now ill,"

says Tatiana, a senior doctor at the Dispensary for Radiological Protection at Rivne.

"The situation is worsening."

"In 1985, we had four lymph cancers a year.

Now we have seven times that many.

We have between five and eight people a year with rare bone cancers, when we never had any.

We expect more cancers, and ill health. One in three pregnancies here are malformed.

We are overwhelmed."

Quote
Moving up the scale, a 2006 report for Green MEPs suggested up to 60,000 possible deaths; Greenpeace took the evidence of 52 scientists and estimated the deaths and illnesses to be 93,000 terminal cancers already and perhaps 140,000 more in time.

Using other data, the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences declared in 2006 that 212,000 people had died as a direct consequence of Chernobyl.

At the end of 2006, Yablokov and two colleagues, factoring in the worldwide drop in births and increase in cancers seen after the accident, estimated in a study published in the annals of the New York Academy of Sciences that

985,000 people had so far died
and the environment had been
devastated, possibly forever.

Their findings were met with almost complete silence by the World Health Organization (long-time bedfellows with nuclear power advocates) and the nuclear industry.    ::)

"The New York Academy of Sciences in 2010 released the most significant and vital English language report on the deaths and environmental devastation caused by Chernobyl.

After pouring through thousands of reports and studies conducted in Eastern Europe and Russia, the Academy concluded that nearly one million people have died as a result of radiation exposure."

  :P

The real face of the nuclear industry

The nuclear industry has a lot to hide.

When things go wrong, as they often do, they really go wrong and people pay with their lives.

Each one of these statistics has a face.

Many people are paying a price for the negligence of a dirty and dangerous industry. These are just a few who have paid the real cost of the nuclear industry.

The next time you hear that we need nuclear power, consider if you want to experience the same fate?

In the cancer ward of a Kiev hospital in the Ukraine, 19-year-old Elena is being treated for her second case of thyroid cancer in just 3 years.

Sisters Irina and Yelena live in an area of Belarus contaminated by the Chernobyl disaster. Both have brain tumors removed and have problems with their thyroid glands.

In the same cancer hospital in Kiev, both Larisa and Paulina have thyroid cancer. The Ukraine has seen an explosion of thyroid cancer.

The Kiev Institute of Endocrinology saw a sharp increase three to four year after Chernobyl. At first, mainly children were diagnosed; now the majority are adult women.

So who can we trust when the estimates swing so wildly?

Quote
Dr. Janette D. Sherman, who edited the volume, explained the discrepancy between the UN's assessment and the Academy's regarding Chernobyl, "(The UN) released a report ... and they only included about 350 articles available in the English language, but (the New York Academy of Sciences) looked at well over 5,000 articles ... by people who were there and saw what was going on.

"We are talking about medical doctors, scientists, veterinarians, epidemiologists, who saw what was happening when people in their communities were getting sick and dying."

Natasha Popova {12} and Vadim Kuleshov {8}. Natasha was born with microcephaly; her head is too small. Vadim has a bone disease and is also mentally retarded.

In the Academy's book that includes the report, titled Chernobyl: Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment, they argue that

the World Health Organization and the International Atomic Energy Agency, which reports to the UN,

formed an agreement in 1959 which states one will not release a report without the agreement of the other.

 :o

Let's take a 'time out' and check out this sharing from brother clif high:

"We, the regular humans seeking our paths in life, can do so, that is 'cheat against war' by creating novel forms of potential.

We can start ahead of the chain in that sense by circulating new ways of thinking that in turn will create new potential that in turn creates new probability ahead of the war to kill almost all humans that the entrenched powers are so desperately trying to drive into our immediate future.

In ways we could not ourselves envision, though we can certainly see the 'potential' in so doing, each time we create a new potential, multiple new probabilities are also created.

These then lead to yet new outcomes....some of which will not involve the last humans alive stumbling out their final minutes in confusion on the corpses of their families.

Reducing the great taoist master Lu to 'now speak'...

if you add value to universe, universe will reward it by creating more potential in your life to add yet more value.

In this way, terrestrial beings may manifest personal power."

Dear Reader, (and we know who you are, thank you for being here) do you remember this latest "worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl" from only a dozen years ago?

Nuclear blast triggers crisis

Quote
The world's worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl rocked Japan yesterday after an explosion took place at a nuclear fuel plant, threatening 300,000 people living within a six-mile radius of the disaster.

When the plant was evacuated radiation levels were reported 2km from the site to be 15,000 times the normal level.

Quote
The authorities were painfully slow to react.

The scale of the problem did not become apparent until workers returned to the plant six hours after running away when the alarms sounded.

"They found such high radiation levels that they concluded the chain reaction was continuing and they had no way of stopping it."

Why does this sound so familiar?

Do not tell us that this happened before and no lesson was learned... no one is that stupid.

Quote
The disaster began as workers at the JCO Tokai nuclear fuel plant were attempting to dissolve 16kg of enriched uranium in nitric acid - almost enough to make a nuclear bomb.

It is considered dangerous to process more than 2.4kg at one time.  ::)

This set off an uncontrolled chain reaction, resulting in a "blue flash" at the processing plant in Tokai village. A hole was punched through the roof of the building, radiation began spewing into the atmosphere, and

radiation levels went up to 4,000 times normal levels within a minute.

There was no containment around the plant, because it was thought that an accident like this could not happen.

Just a quick checkup here:

The use of these advanced technologies now directly affects mankind's ability to control its own fate and the lethal consequences on our earthly and human ecosystems are perhaps irreversible.

Or, as another astute individual observed:

"As man attempts to become God-like, we release potential forces that can, and probably will, destroy us."

Listen up, people.

We are slowly but surely losing our extraordinary capacity to make life desirable.

As the nuclear fallout continues to spread worldwide, our natural resilience - our immune system - will artificially decrease, independently of our own will.

These advanced technologies continue to affect not only our physical bodies, but our minds as well.

I can give you two reasons and one motive why nuclear power has such a firm hold in a supposedly civilized era. In the first, there is no justification or need for such high energy density in a civil or even industrial context. The reason is military. See particle beams. In the second, the reactors typically are fast water breeders, meaning they produce plutonium, which as you know goes into weapons (they age). Countries not involved with our weapons programs, such as Canada, sport thorium reactors, being less dense in energy capital, and do not produce plutonium. Thorium reactors do not melt down, and accidents are rare (never heard of one).

So, it stands to reason, if these types of reactors are to be shut down, then the MIC will have to be downsized. And history shows the results, Marcus Aurelius is one example.

What we need is disarmament talks. What happened to those?

Greeting:

Much of this is from our friend, Ace Hoffman in San Diego, CA.

Silent Spring

50 years on: The silence is still deafening...

September 27th, 2012

Dear Readers,

Silent Spring was first published 50 years ago today.

Rachel Carson was my age, just 56, when she died of breast cancer 18 months later.

I had cancer too (in 2007) but thankfully it was successfully treated -- I'm fine now.

But everyone around the world has already inhaled, eaten, and drank billions of nanoparticles and thousands of larger "hot particles" that have spewed from Fukushima since March, 2011, and from every other nuclear accident and chemical spill. Fukushima and Chernobyl continue to spew, and will for generations to come. That can't be good for any of us, and it isn't.

Fukushima and Chernobyl: No Cause For Alarm! by Ace Hoffman April, 2011 - YouTube

This is another fine example of the nuclear insanity:

At a city council meeting last night in Encinitas, California, the top emergency planner in the Southern California area assured citizens and council members that although it's true that an accidental radioactive "puff" (his word) from San Onofre might cause problems with avocados (undoubtedly our state's favorite fruit), we need not worry, because they'll test all those truckloads of avocados (after WHO picks them?) and even if they're "hot" on the outside, once you peel them they might be okay, he said.

Imagine trying to sell "hot" California avocados after a meltdown at San Onofre by assuring customers around the country that "they're only hot on the outside!" He said they might also make great guacamole.

Later he admitted he's not a nuclear physicist. It appears he also neglected to study the uptake of cesium by plants through the soil after it's soaked in for a few years.

Two scientists who HAVE studied such things are Joe Mangano and Janette Sherman. They have co-authored a wonderful article honoring Rachel Carson and the 50th anniversary of the publication of Silent Spring, which I am happy and honored to be able to include below, as it was sent to me this morning by one of the authors.

Yours,
Ace

This animation shows the wind patterns over Chernobyl, from an animation reported to have been recently released by the French government. But here, "Ground Zero" is the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear power plants instead.

Chernobyl was 25 years ago next month (April, 2011). At the moment, three reactors are in trouble and have probably suffered some fuel melt, as at Three Mile Island. This animation shows the current jet stream for today 3/14/2011) as well.

Note that the figure for Chernobyl dead is based on a book published by the New York Academy of Sciences in 2010 which reviewed thousands of studies about the catastrophe. As of this writing (3/16/2011) it appears that Fukushima-Daiichi may already be worse, or soon will be. An ill wind blows.

And the beat goes on...

J-Power to finish construction of first nuclear reactor designed to run exclusively on MOX fuel

28 September 2012

The Electric Power Development Company began construction in 2008 on the nuclear power plant in Ohma Town, but work was suspended after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster.  The Ohma project is J-Powers first nuclear power venture, and is a variation of the Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR) standard design.

Two advanced boiling water reactors are currently operating in Japan.

During construction, the foundation of the reactor pressure vessel of one of the plants can be seen.

The ABWR is planned to be Japan’s first nuclear power plant designed to run exclusively on MOX fuel, and was to be a key figure in the central government “pluthermal” plan, which promotes the reuse of plutonium and uranium from spent fuels in light-water reactors.

J-Power initially aimed to start operating the plant in March 2012, but in 2008 announced that work would be delayed by two and a half years in November 2014, but in March told the government that the start date was undecided.

Currently, about 40% of the construction work has been completed, but the utility will have to meet new safety standards which have yet to be finalized by the new nuclear regulating authority.

Part of the reactor pressure vessel is transported during construction of an advanced boiling water reactor in Japan.

Hokkaido’s Hakodate City, located 20 kilometers from the town, has asked the central government that the project be suspended indefinitely. A group of Hakodate citizens has filed for a court injunction to stop the project.

Hakodate Mayor Toshiki Kudo said the city is considering filing a lawsuit if J-Power goes ahead with its plan.

The music has stopped
and all the chairs
are radioactive
FOREVER.

Enough already of the radioactive nuclear waste musical chairs game.

To be viewed as being completely somewhat fair in this debate, we will give the defendant nuclear industry the first response.

Here is what ‘an industry mouthpiece’ says about the ‘waste solutions’ country-by-country.

Please pay particular attention to the first paragraph and notice the classic sleight-of-hand at play here.

Radioactive Waste Management | Nuclear Waste Disposal

Quote
A pending question is whether wastes should be emplaced so that they are readily retrievable from repositories. There are sound reasons for keeping such options open – in particular, it is possible that future generations might consider the buried waste to be a valuable resource. On the other hand, permanent closure might increase long-term security of the facility.

“After being buried for about 1,000 years most of the radioactivity will have decayed.

The amount of radioactivity then remaining would be similar to that of the naturally-occurring uranium ore from which it originated, though it would be more concentrated.”

France's 2006 waste law says that HLW disposal must be "reversible", which seems to refer to the management strategy. France, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and the USA require retrievability, and that is policy also in most other countries, but this presupposes that long-term, the repository would be sealed to satisfy safety requirements.

The measures or plans that various countries have in place to store, reprocess and dispose of used fuel and wastes are described in an Appendix to this paper (see Appendix 3: National Policies) and summarised in the following Table.

Note: in most countries repositories or at least storage facilities for low-level wastes and intermediate-level wastes are operating." See also individual country papers.

The chart below indicates the worldwide Commercial Nuclear Reactors in operation and under construction.

Our turn.

Remember that first paragraph above from World Nuclear Association?

“After being buried for about 1,000 years most of the radioactivity will have decayed.”

This is another challenge, as that type of thinking - THE BIG LIE - pervades the entire Nuclear Military Industrial Complex, and your friends and neighbors have bought the farm, hook, line and sinker.

We, the people, are ultimately responsible.

From Wiki:

Quote
Of particular concern are two long-lived fission products, Technetium-99 (half-life 220,000 years) and Iodine-129 (half-life 15.7 million years), which dominate spent nuclear fuel radioactivity after a few thousand years.

The most troublesome transuranic elements in spent fuel are Neptunium-237 (half-life two million years) and Plutonium-239 (half-life 24,000 years). Consequently, high-level radioactive waste requires sophisticated treatment and management to successfully isolate it from the biosphere.

And these clowns have this "sophisticated treatment and management" plan for TWO MILLION YEARS?

Quote
This usually necessitates treatment, followed by a long-term management strategy involving permanent storage, disposal or transformation of the waste into a non-toxic form.

Governments around the world are considering a range of waste management and disposal options, usually involving deep-geologic placement, although there has been limited progress toward implementing long-term waste management solutions.

This is partly because the timeframes in question when dealing with radioactive waste range from 10,000 to millions of years, according to studies based on the effect of estimated radiation doses.

This from World Nuclear:

Radioactive Waste Management | Nuclear Waste Disposal

(Updated April 2012)

Nuclear power is the only large-scale energy-producing technology which takes full responsibility for all its wastes and fully costs this into the product.

The amount of radioactive wastes is very small relative to wastes produced by fossil fuel electricity generation.

Used nuclear fuel may be treated as a resource or simply as a waste.

Nuclear wastes are neither particularly hazardous nor hard to manage relative to other toxic industrial wastes.

Safe methods for the final disposal of high-level radioactive waste are technically proven; the international consensus is that this should be geological disposal.

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

There is another way to counter this insanity.

Knowledge is power - so we might raise the awareness of the concerned citizens through the magic of music.

Another tipping point: Disposal of nuclear waste is often said to be the Achilles' heel of the nuclear industry.

Quote
Presently, waste is mainly stored at individual reactor sites and there are over 430 locations around the world where radioactive material continues to accumulate.

Experts agree that centralized underground repositories which are well-managed, guarded, and monitored, would be a vast improvement.

Really?
Improvement over nothing is progress?
Gotta love the next sentence:

Quote
There is an international consensus on the advisability of storing nuclear waste in deep underground repositories, but no country in the world has yet opened such a site.

Wonder why?

"... international consensus on the advisability ..."

We are suitably impressed by the 'scientific-sounding' NewSpeak  :P

Listen up, people.

Exposing the planet-wide fallout poisoning of the environment is another way to take a stab at the nuclear dragon. That constantly beeping Dosimeter of Fruitbat's is a really great reminder idea/conversation starter and we look forward to the prototype as soon as waiting is filled.

Remember, the pro-nukies are dancing around the "centralized storage" Maypole, still, and chanting, "It's coming, it's coming ..." - it is merely another distraction - as we all know now - after 60 years - that this is another lie and another part of The Ultimate Cover-up - Depopulation.

Millions are already dead from this, its just that their still walking around, but dead nonetheless.

Our one hope is maybe our benevolent ET friends will clean it up because they can and we can't.

Walking dead.

So a thought comes to mind this Japan disaster, was it deliberate?
I know that I know nothing - thanks Capricorn.

What are they waiting for? Its been over 50 years since Roswell and the first A bomb. Getting steadily worse.

I don't think they can clean it up and are likely avoiding earth like the plaque

Art Robinson/Facebook

Oregon's GOP Chair Wants to Sprinkle Nuclear Waste From Airplanes | Mother Jones

After months of in-fighting, the beleaguered Oregon Republican Party elected a new chairman last weekend. His name is Art Robinson, and he wants to sprinkle radioactive waste from airplanes to build up our resistance to degenerative illnesses.

Robinson, who unsuccessfully ran for Congress against progressive Rep. Peter DeFazio in 2010 and 2012, took over after the previous chair resigned in advance of a recall campaign over her alleged financial mismanagement.

Robinson, who has a Ph.D. in chemistry, has marketed himself for the last three decades as an expert on everything from nuclear fallout to AIDS to climate science in the pages of a monthly newsletter, Access to Energy, which he published from his compound in the small town of Cave Junction.

A quick glance at his writings, which were publicized during his ill-fated challenges to DeFazio, suggest that whatever the failings of the previous party leadership—Democrats now hold all statewide elected offices and control both houses of the state Legislature—Robinson brings with him a new set of challenges entirely.

On nuclear waste:

"All we need do with nuclear waste is dilute it to a low radiation level and sprinkle it over the ocean—or even over America after hormesis is better understood and verified with respect to more diseases."

And:

"If we could use it to enhance our own drinking water here in Oregon, where background radiation is low, it would hormetically enhance our resistance to degenerative diseases.

Alas, this would be against the law."

Gov’t Report: Fukushima ocean plume hit Canada 6 months ago — “Precedes model predictions by several years” — ‘Human health’ is first reason listed for study (MAP)

20 December 2013

Preface:
The concept of internal radiation exposure has been suppressed ever since Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombing for political reasons so that atomic weapons development could and would continue. Researchers who studied low-dose radiation contamination had their studies suppressed and unfunded.

Organizations such as ICRP (International Commission on Radiological Protection) and IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) have gone along with this. Both promote the use of nuclear power. WHO (World Health Organization) has signed something with IAEA so that they would not interfere with IAEA's official announcements.

Those researchers whose work was suppressed are mostly represented in ECRR (European Committee on Radiation Risk), whose general position is that there is no safe level of radiation and that hot particles ingested or inhaled cause internal radiation exposure.

In Belarus, where the Chernobyl accident had a profound effect, only 10 to 20 % of children are born healthy, even 25 years after the accident.

This is because the soil there is contaminated and food grown ends up being contaminated.

In Belarus, toddlers might die of heart attacks.

Premature aging is seen: children are having the type of illnesses you might see in older adults, such as hypertension, diabetes, cataracts, heart diseases, kidney diseases, etc. Sudden deaths are common. Of course congenital deformity and all kinds of cancers are happening.

It is commonly believed amongst health care professionals that deal with radiation that at "low-dose" of radiation such as what's been detected in Tokyo, people should not have any symptoms.

Well, the danger of radiation is so underplayed that the health care professionals have been given incorrect information.  Otherwise they won't be able to use all the medical and dental X-rays.

It’s not just thyroid cancer and leukemia that might result from radiation exposure.

There are many stories of bloody noses, cough, sore throat, metallic taste (these radioactive materials are basically heavy metals), fever, fatigue, bruises, skin eruptions, headaches, diarrhea, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, menstrual irregularities, etc., by people from Tokyo and Kanto area.

Those who report the symptoms to doctors are ridiculed because they should not have any symptoms at the radiation levels they experienced.

Doctors in Japan, with an exception of a handful of brave doctors, do not have freedom to diagnose radiation-related illnesses unless the Ministry of Health creates a policy permitting it.

Apparently in the socialized medicine they have in Japan, the doctors have to follow the government policy or they will lose their medical licenses.

Just because people live far away from Fukushima, they are not free from any effects.

Because the radioactive material has fallen on the ground, a caution should be taken to prevent any contamination through genital area.  This means not sitting on benches, ground, or grasses.  It means wearing sanitary napkins all the time to prevent genital contact with any radiation contamination.

By the way, there are some brands of sanitary napkins and diapers produced in factories in Fukushima which registered high radiation levels.

Radionuclide Transport from Fukushima to Eastern North Pacific, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, 2013 PICES Annual Meeting on October 15, 2013:

June, 2012 Tully Mission: Significantly, 134Cs was detected in two samples
[...] Sta. P26 showing that Fukushima Cs was present. [...]

Levels of 137Cs equal to 0.3 Bq/m3 measured at Sta. P26 in 2012 represent Leading edge of Fukushima plume. [...]

Arrival of 137Cs at Sta. P26 in June, 2012 precedes [Behrens et al.] model predictions by several years. [...]

134Cs was detectable along the entire Line P in June, 2013. Highest levels of 0.9 Bq/m3 were measured at Sta. P26. [...]

Many reasons for study-
   •   Human health- internal/external dose assessments
   •   Radioecology- marine biota [...]
   •
[...] Fact is: radioactivity frightens people, almost always disproportionately to the actual threat: government must recognise this and provide sound, science based knowledge (and wisdom?) on human and environmental risks.

Here’s some of that ‘wisdom’ from Dr. Jay Cullen, who was involved with the 2013 cruise: “[T]he estimated dose of radioactivity from consuming tuna carrying Fukushima-derived isotopes for a year is similar to or less than our annual doses from air travel, terrestrially produced foods, medical treatment (e.g. X-rays) and other background sources.”

Perhaps he should look into internal emitters. Here’s what a physician originally from Kyoto, Japan says:

“Internal radiation exposure is an entirely different matter.

This cannot and should not be compared to flights and X-rays. [...] Internal radiation contamination means radioactive particles are in the body and remain in the body, emitting radiation at a close proximity to cells and DNA. [...]

So the internal radiation exposure can lead to a wide variety of symptoms, but mainly your immune system is over-worked by trying to deal with the insultable...

[...] human bodies know what to do with the naturally occurring radiation.  Our bodies do not absorb them unnecessarily. [...] Artificial radiation as a result of nuclear fission is a different matter.”

the reason that no et is going to step in is
that this is a learning planet

we made the mess we have to learn to clean it up

doesn't look likely to happen though..does it :( :'(

What are they waiting for? Its been over 50 years since Roswell and the first A bomb. Getting steadily worse.

I don't think they can clean it up and are likely avoiding earth like the plaque

Reminds me of the old film "The day the earth stood still." when "Micheal Rennie"  (The alien) warned the earth regarding our behavior and atomic weapons.  Even warning people is not working for the most part...but we must do it anyway.
