 ok I admit to being a bit crazy in taking photos of just about anything..so just laugh and en~joy

the cicada’s are here yearly and are part of the sounds of summer
and as I was walking past the maple tree I spotted the empty shells and thought it would make a cool pic.. sooooooo

It's amazing to see th' wonders of nature! After living in th' ground for years it took this Arkansas Cicada about an hour to emerge from it's shell. I returned him to his tree th' next morning to go find his buddies.
Thanks to sunsetlover and 805ROADKING for th' idea!

I think they are beautiful bugs.

Thousands of wasps committed suicide in my attic recently.  Bizarre behaviour.
