I'll probably get into trouble for this, if you can't afford a friggin dollar, then wait for the subscriptions to start or no Pegasus at all!  A dollar people a friggin dollar?

Man up! Sorry ladies! Lol

Rock

If you're not a man, woman up!  My coworkers and I used to say "The only thing more manly than a manly man, is a manly woman."  Then we would proceed to prove it by outworking the men.  That was in a long term care facility.  We were lifting people.

All right People, and specifically the myriad numbers of guest I see here everyday; nothing in life is free; no matter what it is, someone somewhere is paying for it 8)

and what it boils down to is, if you are not willing to help keep the best website and forum around afloat, I wonder if you are going to miss it when it's gone...

Attention all Peeps! Attention all peeps! Attention! I am steadily becoming dis-enchanted with people in general; for many years now The Livingmoon and Pegasus have been the place to go for quality information and documented research in all those areas shunned or hidden away by the MSM; for free...

I shouldn't be surprised at the apathy or the lack of desire from everyone, the unwillingness to step forward and render aid; you are all too busy looking out for number 1... ::)

I agree Seeker, I am Very disenchanted with people as well.

How much, a ball park figure would the forum need to keep open on a yearly basis.

The original fundraiser goal was 5 grand; so far, a little over 10% has been raised as of yesterday; it just chaps my butt that there are at least 100+ unique guests a day visiting the forum, reading and printing threads; and officially 502 registered members that are setting a shining example with their encouraging support and contributions of how to be a complete failure...

I don't believe they have enough sand between them all to stand up against a lame piss ant ::)

To those that have contributed, thank you so very much, you are much appreciated  8)

Most of the unique visitors are probably search engine crawlers.

Quote
A Web crawler, sometimes called a spider, is an Internet bot which systematically browses the World Wide Web, typically for the purpose of Web indexing (web spidering). Web search engines and some other sites use Web crawling or spidering ...

Mustn't forget that until we can access the front page here again we haven't posted a notice on the front door

I also need to put a 'hook' on the front page of livingmoon

There is no way to tell if people are seeing the request yet  the 10% is from the regular friends and a few from facebook...

The intention was NOT to have those friends chip in though it is GREATLY appreciated at this time....

The target was the real people that visit the website (not the forum per say) daily.  But do they log in to the front page? or to a sub menu?

When I log in here I go direct to the forum menu skipping the front page

I have to create an email address book  Subscription is a good way to get an email list :D  I just asked Lou Baldin if I could place it on his time line at FB and he said yes

Advertizing says that for people to register something they need to see it multiple times before it sticks  :P

Robots? yes there are those  and they are useful, but it is easy enough to look at the stats page and see the IPs

I have a week left before War and am sorting and cleaning up EVERYTHING  so when i come back I will have a clean slat to focus on Pegasus...

The affiliate solution, I have talked to several people, is a good one if you have legit agents and Rakuten is one of the biggest and best

But yeah I hear you... you would think asking for a $1.00 tip would be nothing...  Maybe we need to set up some chairs on a mountain top out here and sell tickets for a ride in an invisible ethereal spaceship :P Greer does it  $10,000 a seat :P

Understood; That is one reason I post in this thread every day, to keep it on the recent post list; then check who's online and usually there will be 5+ guests reading the thread...

agreed; That is the main reason to limit free and require a subscription to the main info; the peeps that come by every day to read won't do anything unless they have to  ::)

8) I would rather charge them $100 a seat for a ride on Pegasus One when we get it operational( once we get clearance and can keep NORAD and Space Command from shooting our perambulator off)

$100 a seat is actually pretty affordable.  Just tell NORAD  that it's affiliated with Santa Claus and everything should be fine.  They track his his sleigh every year.  Maybe Pegasus One can be identified as his auxiliary sleigh.

Very good, Sarge, I am sure that Zorgon and the staff could travel comfortably in that; however, we still need something more along the lines of a MHD drive tour bus  8)
