Anyone found themselves banned from God Like Productions ?
« on: June 11, 2013, 01:40:27 pm »
Anyone found that they have been banned from GLP

http://www.godlikeproductions.com

I just received this message..

Maybe they have been attacked and banned all members..

I am not aware that I had been hacked or that I had any reason to be banned as I have not posted in a long time..

I was banned for a while a couple years ago.  I did not have an account and I used to visit the site a lot following google searches into the Lear thread.  My guess is they thought I was a bot wasting bandwidth.  I did send them an email explaining I was not a bot and did not know why I was banned, they just told me I needed to sign up for the premium account.  I did not but after a while I was unbanned and I did finally get an account (not paid) and have not been banned since.

I have seen that message several times....

Seems you can get rid of it by paying a subscription fee. Last time I looked that fee was $100.00

Hmmm Maybe we should try that LOL

I was banned awhile ago, checked back a couple months later and was unbanned, registered a fake name and was banned again not long after again.

It's about the money. They want cash up front and even than you get banned but being a paid monkee, they will unban the banned if they are paid and make some monkee noises to the unban email.

OK, godlickspopsicle peeps. If you been banned and you are on a home network router, simply do this.

Go into the home router admin login and change the home network routers MAC address by just 1 number and save it upon log out.

On the internet cable company router, disconnect the internet data cable from the isp and power.

Shut off the home router also.

Wait 30 seconds before connecting the cable back into the isp router and hooking power plug back in.

Reconnect power to the home network router and BAM!, you have a new IP and can fullfil your addiction on godlickspopsicles dot commie.

I've been automatically IP banned from GLP.  No idea why; I've made perhaps five posts there, and none of those were ban worthy as far as I could tell.  I tried appealing it, but the appeal was rejected.

I'm not particularly bothered, truthfully, because I've probably only logged into the site two dozen times since first hearing about it, and never considered it a terribly worthwhile resource; but it was a little odd.  I assumed that perhaps GLP and ATS' staff talk to each other, and when I became a little more active on GLP, they banned me on the basis of the ATS ban.

I usually get that notice when I log on with my iphone to their site. Not all the time but from time to time. I've never gotten it when I log on with my pc...

Thanks for the feedback fellow members !

"Z" ... Ill give the $100 fee a miss for now and try some of the other suggestions first   :P !

Didn't realize that they may attempt to ban people to try and get them to sign up to the paid M/Ship !

John had been posting on GLP some time ago quite regularly...then stopped for several weeks...& then started posting again a few weeks ago..

That's why I want to remain a member if possible..

Cheers

With what I have see at GLP, as a visitor, I would never join there, to give them any such opportunity. The level of thinking there for some of the posters, is way off the charts, of reasonableness and respectability. It is almost as if anything said goes!!

I don't waste my time there!! I had much rather waste it at PRC!!  ;) ;D

I agree completely, as I said above, only reason I go there is for the Lear thread.

A lot of times they auto-ban blocks of IP addresses.
So you probably weren't targeted individually.

This usually occurs with unusual activity or hacking attempts in your IP range. Most Admin's are lazy bastards and instead of going through the logs and banning that IP Address they just ban blocks.  ;)
