Events connected to UFOs, that's why I wrote "I'm not much interested in Bob Lazar or any other person connected to UFOs".

sorry ArMaP .. not seeing this as even remotely possible,. You, not being aware of the details and people that put area51 on the map,  ,15 years on ATS , and your unaware of the theory's of the devices he was working on at 51

hold on, is this your birthday or something?

I'm not interested in that "arena" of the UFO "circus", just that.

UFOs could be the only reason for me to have some interest in Bob Lazar, but, as I said, I'm not interested in personalities, only in the events

most ufo storeys and "ufo events" have personality's surrounding them, sometimes these people have cameras to take pictures of the events, both of which are in the Lazaar saga ..

so essentially what your saying is, that you're only interested in Nasa Space footage showing u.f.o's . or cctv camera even ?

No, most UFO events have witnesses. In some of those cases the witnesses become "personalities", and the story becomes more about them than about the event.

That's what I don't like and that's why I ignore most of those people.

so how can you say that of Lazarr? if you know nothing about him. have refused to look into the storey , yet somehow have ascribed him a "personality", how have you done this without some form of research ?.. very curious

I watched people's reactions. When people treat someone as if he/she was some kind of demi-god then I ignore most things related to him/her. :)

you form your opinions on a person, via other people's reactions and opinions to that Person, without even listening to that person?

I don't believe that

considering Bob's been one of the most difficult persons to get an interview with, ide hardly call his behaviour attention seeking , or even 'Demi-god' like.. if the fans bug you , how is that relative to the information proffered by the source ?

When I was first invited and joined P.R.C.. it was from my interest in the Bob Lazar story and me asking some questions about it on A.T.S . that Zorgon noted my post and  had suggested that I was being answered by Trolls, with them trying to convince me it was all a hoax... and "Z" then  invited me to this forum...

Then  after some initial intros and feedback from certain members...my impression had been that I thought most on P.R.C who were interested in the UFO side of things... were those who may have also had an interest in the Bob Lazar story and its connection with John Lear..

Since then however.. I have now got the understanding that is not the case for all such members..

I had looked into it since in quite a lot of detail ...and I have seen arguments for and against  believing in  the story..

But my conclusion I thought had been that generally most facts that have been suggested seemed to favor that there is definitely some evidence to suggest that there are likely truths to it.

BUT whether it involves the Crafts that Bob Lazar talked about as being Extraterrestrial or not is still unproven...

At the moment the only person to suggest that is A51 Watcher...

But the overall general research of the story over some years (even just on PRC since it started in the last 6 years or so) had attempted to answer many of the hoax or false  suggestions that had arose or asked about... and there had been alternative answers come up to offer positive facts to the story..and in some cases maybe seemed to favor Bobs story..

I also thought that with Both Zorgon being the main person who set up and ran the Forum, along with his close connection with John Lear.. that this made PRC more of a membership that may believe the story and not still doubt it..

I do respect members various opinions..

But I had thought that ArMaP in the past has read much about the various facts..

and yet he still seems to have doubts about it..

He suggests he does not watch videos... so that maybe a problem in the fact they he has not seen certain information...

He said he had not seen any Alex Jones videos.. but I think he must have at least seen one or two to have made his judgement on him.. as he has said he disliked his voice !  ;D

so I am not really sure what to make of his views also on Bob Lazar... or his connections with "Z" and John Lear.... Is he suggesting that John and Bob have been making it all up ? and that the Videos that A51 watcher and 1967 Sanders created do not have any relevance....does he still doubt them ? ? ?

No, and if you read what I wrote you will see that I didn't say anything like that. :)

Good for you, as you really don't have any reason to believe something that doesn't exist. :)

I never said a thing about attention seeking or something like that. Read what I wrote and you will see that I didn't say a thing about the person's actions, only about the "circus" created around them.

The "circus" created around people do affect (in my opinion) the information, not because they change the information (although that may be possible, there are cases of people reposting videos with only the parts that support their opinions) but because they promote only the information that supports their own ideas or opinions, to make it look like that person is on their side.

And I don't like circus.

That's true, doubts is what I have the most. :)

Quote

I only watch videos that appear to have a good information/time wasted ratio, or if it's the type of information that is only easily understood on video.

Quote
He said he had not seen any Alex Jones videos.. but I think he must have at least seen one or two to have made his judgement on him.. as he has said he disliked his voice !  ;D
I don't consider watching a few seconds of a video the same thing as watching a video. One thing that happens with some frequency is that I start watching some video but when I see someone shouting at me as if reason is measured in decibels I turn it off immediately. :)

I don't really have an opinion about Bob Lazar, as I haven't followed his case/story.

And although I am in this forum created by zorgon that doesn't mean that I agree with his opinions, much less that I agree with those of John Lear. :)

As for the videos posted, I only accept as real data the unprocessed videos, any processing (specially when not explained) means nothing to me, as I'm not looking at what happened, I am looking at a process someone thought was interesting, and that's not what I want.

Apologies for my wrong assumption...

You comments very much surprise me and I  do not think that I understand your reasoning if moderators generally read members posts..... other than most of the Lazar story was from some years ago..and your memory has faded..and maybe you made a judgement about it back then and did not believe in the story..and have never reconsidered anything about it since..

But as you are a main member in forums that discuss such or similar things where there are always new things being talked about in relation to it and your a moderator whom I thought part of your tasks was to check and read posts made by members.. that it would be hard not to have read about the various other related facts discussed by members...

Admittedly whether it interests you or not..is your business...

I had thought that the Bob Lazar story was one of the most talked about  topics to anyone interested in UFO stories..  and thought that you would have known quite a lot about him or his story. or at least had looked into it with ref to John Lear as well as certain members who have wrote about him on P.R.C...

I am not sure that I can believe that you had not at least read the basic story behind it or watched some videos related to it....if you have been a main members on both ATS and PRC since the Lazar story came out in the late 1980s..

If you say that you make your judgement's on peoples comments / reactions about about the story... I think that has to mean you are aware of certain facts behind it to make those judgement's..

and because members opinions do vary on it.. I don't think its a case of most seeming to have had been one sided about it through out the years things were discussed about it..

The only way that I think I would understand your view would be if such a subject had no connection or interest to you what so ever..and maybe that is the case..

but I thought that most members on PRC had the sort of interests towards such topics..that they would read about and consider them and had some knowledge about them..especially if they did have some interest in the UFO subject.

OR maybe ..there could be certain threads that such topics were discussed and even you have not as yet obtained access to...so you may not have read some threads on the Lazar topic..

There are many numerous people in Life that others may look upto thru out history...some may see as hero's or great achievers...or someone who had claimed to have had certain experiences that others may be interested in... maybe that some may been seen in a similar way that you refer to being gods to those who may follow or write about them.....  But I would be very surprised if you ignore all such connections towards them...

I think if one did they would have very little to take ones interest in Life....

Most things people talk about relate to someone else who either made a discovery , had certain experiences (that they told people about ..that in turn  took their interest) or created something.. that many later may be interested in or had been admired in them in some way..

be it someone like Albert Einstein or the person who invented a paper clip !  :)

I do read the posts made by the members, and in PRC I read all the posts.

Quote

Obviously. :)

Well, I suppose that shows the problems with assumptions. :)

Quote

Read about it, yes, watch videos, I doubt it.

Quote
If you say that you make your judgement's on peoples comments / reactions about about the story... I think that has to mean you are aware of certain facts behind it to make those judgement's..
To make it clear, I do not make judgements about anyone based on other people's comments about that person, I make my judgements based on their own actions and words.

What I meant about other people's comments it's maybe best understood with an unrelated example. Today, if you want to find something on the Internet about September 11 that is not related to the attacks of September 11, 2001 you will have an extremely hard time doing it, as the information about the 9/11 attacks has "drowned" all other information about any other events on that day in different years, even for such an important event as the military coup that ended Chile's democratic government, one of those situations in which the US decided that democracy is only good for some chosen few.

In this case, people's opinions about someone make it hard or even almost impossible to know the real facts, as information spread by those that see Bob Lazar almost as a semi-god may have any kind of information they think will help other people see him as they do, and that's one of the situations in which real facts only get in the way.

Quote
The only way that I think I would understand your view would be if such a subject had no connection or interest to you what so ever..and maybe that is the case..
I'm interested in UFOs, the objects themselves, I'm not interested in the people that have stories relating to UFOs but without being part of any UFO case.

Quote
But I would be very surprised if you ignore all such connections towards them...
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by this. What connections? ???

Quote
I think if one did they would have very little to take ones interest in Life....
I don't know if I am misunderstanding what you say, but I was never really interested in any personality, only in what they may have done or said.

Quote
Most things people talk about relate to someone else who either made a discovery , had certain experiences (that they told people about ..that in turn  took their interest) or created something.. that many later may be interested in or had been admired in them in some way..

Albert Einstein is a good example, as many people like to attribute to him all quotes they come across, as he is one of those people that have reached a demi-god status for many people. To me, it was just a very important theoretical physicist, like many other that are ignored by most people.

Edited to add that, although I read all posts on PRC, sometimes I just skim the longer ones, only to see if there's something not according to the rules. :)
